more 4age stuff
I would use AE101 GZE instead of 20V bottom end for any future projects (if I could find one)

I think you had been asking about the freedom ECU
https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/au ... 1086892262
maybe ask for a copy of the software
this might be even better, looks like windows version of the freedom ECU software

(please help) My FX is running find, with the Silvertop 4AGE 20V, but lately it started to starve for fuel when there is at least 2 to 2-1/2 gallons of fuel in the tank. also, the gages doesn't go all the way to full or empty. only ...

Re: igf
from Google IGF (Ignition Confirmation Signal) The ECM uses the IGF signal to confirm each ignition coil has fired after it sends an IGT pulse. The ECM supplies a 5V reference voltage on the IGF circuit shared by all coils. Each time a coil fires, its igniter pulls the IGF 5V reference voltage to gr...

Re: Budget build cheats.
I have an E-manage ultimate but for some reason I just stopped working on all my projects (getting old I guess) so getting back to the low cost mods you can do #1 is AFR meter so you can see what the engine is doing next you need to get control of the engine that means you need an adj fuel pressure ...

The AFM also has a temp sensor inside of it on another car (my Opel GT) I tried using a an adj pot on the air temp sensor and then took it to the drag strip it did nothing I am a big advocate for adj FP regulator and I have them on both my SC MR2s but its easy to add fuel and adj FPR effect fuel ove...

back to budget One thing that I have done back when I was driving my NA 85 on the street I adjusted the Air Flow meter well when it came time to get my emissions test I could not remember which way I had adjusted my AFM so I tried adjusting it but I ended up failing my emissions twice so I went and ...

My SCCA ITA CRX would run circles around the MR2
rules makers in SCCA anyways when they see the 4AG engine seem to think its a formula Atlantic motor
"at least until you start winning things!"

Re: Batch injection
disconnect the plug at the ECU and disconnect the plugs at the injectors
turn the meter on tone
connect one side to wire harness 10 and then prob the injector plugs one at the time
see when you have tone
if they are connected in the harness you will get tone 4 times (one on each plug)
good luck

I only autocrossed my 85 MR2 for a short time before I started getting distracted by other stuff I tried making the move into SCCA F-production $$ I made mention that you can get by pass air through IACV, they heard that and made a rule that the MR2's IACV had to be replaced with a block off plate s...

Re: Anyone build a 4AG 16v with the Brian Crower stroker kit?
Yeah, only two rings, and the compression ring is a 1.5mm. Second ring would add friction and they were looking to get every last bit out of the engine. Might just be me, but I wouldn't consider that for a daily driver. Not that the HKS 5AGE was designed for the street. At least the BC and MRP kits...

Pissed off jondee? no. I'm disappointed that there are still peeps out there that refuse to accept our eccentric, eclectic "brotherhood". Just 'cause you drive a Lambo doesn't mean you're too good for the guy in an MR2. Slammed, stanced, donk, aero, bosozoku, drag, drift, trailer queen, a...
