Sounds like a plan, when i drop the T-50 to get my fifth hear back, I'll replace my MC & SC.
I ordered a new driver side exterior door handle. It'll be nice not reaching through to unlock.

Re: My Car Needs a Clutch; Any Suggestions?
Be sure to check inside your car and under the carpet for clutch fluid. After replacing the MC & SC, you don't want any fluid to eat through the paint. Where did you find the Aisin brand?

I checked and it looks like I do have 'dual post' side marker lights. When you refer to single post that is a single wire right? & when you refer to dual post that is two wires right? It looks like: (--) I don't want to T-tap or crimp. I am going to try and use some Weatherpack connectors to kee...

Front & Rear Side Marker Lights Converted To Flashers
Does anyone know which parts and wires to use to either retain the incandescent bulbs or convert to LED's?

On the question of worn out LSD.
If you can break traction in a left hand turn, but not break traction to the right, is your LSD worn out and in need of a rebuild? And yes, it is mine.

Ah ha! So you lost your bearing hahaha. Just kidding around friend.
You can stop by a bearing specialty place and sort through theirs to find one that fits. Remember to take the switch with you.

If you do press it out, remove the C-clip so you don't deform the control arms. I ruined my original control arms because i did not know about the C-clip(pretty sure that is the right term).

My bad. I did a search on Moog's online catalogue. No dust seal boots for sale.
Rockauto did have the balljoints for <$5. The prothane/energy suspension looks great.

Very thorough and well organized information from first hand experienced do-it-yourselfers. This is plenty of knowledge to help people, like me, who have not built their engine or renewed their suspension and transmission and drivetrain to allow the engine to breathe and transfer a minimal of loss o...

You can remove all the paint and rust then repaint the metal pieces.
Or fabricate or source others in better shape.

You can use a mechanics stethoscope. A short piece of hose held up to your ear or even your finger or a piece of metal and listen and feel for the injectors cycling open and closed.
Also be sure to ohm them with a multimeter.

I will post pics and a vid. I hope I can get my car running smooth at idle before I install the exhaust system. I need to do: A compression test. Leak down test. Rebuild distributor. Fab an oil catch can. Install new or sonic cleaned injectors. Drop transmission and get fifth gear back. Replace clut...

I'll give it my all to spin it fast to check it out. So rebuild a stock LSD for firmer lock up sounds great when on a budget.

Re: What kind of LSD unit should I buy?
Yeah. I agree. I could be wrong.
But is there any 'Stock' GTS without a LSD? I have yet to hear of one.
*i just checked on line. So my LSD WORN out because both tires move in opposite directions.
Anyone rebuild their own?

Re: What kind of LSD unit should I buy?
Jack up the rear of the car so both tires are off the ground. Rotate one tire and check to see that the other tire rotates in the opposite direction. If they rotate opposite you have an LSD. If not, then look for a used one and rebuild it for firmer lock up. It is your $$$ & ultimately your deci...

Custom exhaust is being scrubbed. I received quotes from Mark Martelius. Their Street Tune, complete exhaust system from header to muffler is around $1,092.85 with the silencer. It is $1,020.68 without silencer. They are using 2 inch ferritic stainless on pipes. The headers can be either mild steel ...

Update: I used a 12-10 butt connector. I removed the insulation. Inserted the broken wires from both ends. Made sure they were snug and overlapping themselves. Then I crimped them together it is working again. But for how long, I'm not sure. If I come up with a DIY cable I'll post it.

MotoP the founder and/or Jondee86 and any of the other elders may chime in and offer their wisdom. You already have a reliable 240sx. And you did say your passion for these cars runs vast. $800 to start with a GTS is not a bad deal. As with any older car it will have to be sorted and defective parts...

A GTS hatchback no less. Go for it. It will be worth it once you figure out exactly what the purpose of it will be. Daily and track or strictly track. If you do gut it sell the interior and exterior pieces to those of us that are looking for those pieces. My biggest regret is donating my red sr5 hat...

Hmm..., I've been checking the oil level after i did an oil change plus new filter. Doesn't seem like a lot is getting out. All the same I need to verify. When the engine is running I don't see any oil or coolant from that area around the crank.
