Looking good man, I just wrote up a little reply aimed for a DIY guy but it looks like you work in a body shop too? I would just try a grey pad and adhesion promoter before the trim black. and hit it with the lamp just to be safe.
Are you going two tone? looks very tricky to mask

Dashboard restoration options
Hey guys Wondering if anyone has restored their dashboard somehow. Mine has the usual heat cracks, but isn't in horrible shape besides the 2 cracks. I phoned a local "restoration specialist" who deal in car interiors, who told me that it was basically not possible. We deal with them a lot ...

Do sticky tires rock chip our cars?
Wondering if true sticky tires like Hoosiers, etc, throw up a lot of rocks on our car.
Not looking to damage my paint.
So far the stickiest tire I've had was re71r and i didn't get any chips on the exterior.
Wheel sets are 15x8 +0 and 15x8.5. Car is fairly low. With oem skirts
Thank u guys

Wondering the same with CR-01 15" and the older wilwood 4pots. Would like to order o-disk but worried it will hit the caliper.

Could LED sealed beam melt a headlight plug? (fixed!)
Driver's headlight won't work on low. On high, both sections work. Swapped the driver and pass'r lights, problem persists, so it's not the bulbs. Put a brand-new switch, but that wasn't it (whoops) Looked at the plug (brown one that the sealed beam plugs into), and the brown plastic is a bit melted....

Re: Problems with low beam switch - And, how to reattach signal stalk properly?
Yea that's the thing I have the spring but no ball! I'll keep lookin around for it I have it reassembled and it "works", but doesn't feel OEM-smooth - it sort of grinds when I push it into highbeam Still haven't fixed the low beam problem either, I guess it must be wiring somewhere since t...

Problems with low beam switch - And, how to reattach signal stalk properly?
Hey all I put in LED sealed beams about 1 year ago. Been dailying it without issue until now, the Low-beam stopped working only on one side. I swapped the bulbs and problem persisted (same side), so it's not the bulbs. 1. I read online it could be either the signal stalk, or the white dial switch. R...

Re: WTB new-condition floor mats for LHD
Get the bride and be done with it - you're not going to find OEM that is in 'new' or 'like-new' condition and if they were they'd charge you the same https://www.nengun.com/bride/floor-mats 1. I don't have Bride seats 2. Not enthused on non-car people asking my why my floormats have the word "...

WTB new-condition floor mats for LHD

Re: Where to find LHD floor mats? (non OEM ok)
Thanks man, those look pretty cool. Yes the bride mats cost a lot and don't really flow with my oem interior, and I was looking at some RHD chequer ones which were asking $550USD (not karo, can't remember the brand)

Where to find LHD floor mats? (non OEM ok)
Hey everyone, hope this is in the right section. I am located in western Canada and wondering where to source floor mats for LHD AE86 hatch. I'd be happy with OEM ones, the karo chequer ones, or pretty much any aftermarket brand. My only criteria is that they are brand new, and either black, black/g...

Mice in car after 1.5yrs stored, what should I do
Hey guys, so I left my car covered up in a field for 1.5 years and now there are mice in it. The recaros got all chewed up, it smells very bad, and there are 100s of little mouse droppings everywhere. Honestly I just took one look inside the car and shut the door in despair! So I'm not sure how bad ...

I find my AE92 a lot of fun on the street, I wouldn't mind a AE86 but i would never get rid of my ae92 either. The styling is cooler too. AE86 just looks better to most of us because we know it has more street cred lol
