Re: Aukword1's Beams Swapped AE86
Which filter do you have, the C604D? How's your filter clearance? I have basically the same setup (JSP brackets, Cusco mounts, 1 inch spacers, SQ ITB adapter, 100mm SQ stacks) and without actually buying and test fitting the C604D filter I'm not finding that I have the hood clearance for its dimensi...

Re: Swapping Control Arms for a little more Negative Camber
Do I dare be the one to mention NCRCA's on an 86 forum? No changes to tie rods, sway bars, tension rods, caster, or KPI. But I bet someone will want to argue scrub radius over all of that.

Why did you limit to 7100? Stock makes peak at 7800. I'm surprised you made 193 not even revving it all the way, interesting. You have a healthy one.

Rack spacers on a de-powered zenki PS rack
Trying to get an understanding of what will work. The BV #2 kit has the most documentation but is also no longer available. Is the stopper that was included in it necessary for a de-powered zenki rack or was it meant for those wanting #2 kit but retaining PS? All of the similar rack spacers offered ...

Re: Bump steer after aw11 manual rack conversion
As far as the spacers that go between the tie rod and knuckle, you're just able to further correct geometry with the suspension and steering that wasn't corrected with an RCA. I've been doing more reading on de-powering the power rack and am interested but also curious about angle difference like Je...

Other than finding a factory manual steering at a junkyard (impossible now?), where are we supposed to find an AE86 manual rack? Everyone has discontinued their remans.

Re: NEW STANCE XR1 COIL-OVERS (TRUE REAR TYPE)
The concern I have is that according that spreadsheet for XR1, their AE86 coilovers are no longer sold with inverted front or rear, as they've been advertised. Maybe email Stance and see what they have to say on that?
As far as reviews, I've heard awesome reviews of the latest with true type rear.

Re: Question COILOVER exp! Help!
^Do you have a link by chance? I'm genuinely curious. Their site must be out of date because they still list the 8/6k rates and non inverted rear. (However, I did see a pic of the inverted rear coilovers in boosted86's build thread.) I also did a google search but can't find anything but the old se...

Re: Question COILOVER exp! Help!
My vote is with Stance. They did a lot of hands-on development with the AE86 and their newest inverted coilovers. I've talked with people that have run them and they do exactly what they should. They actually come with 8k front and 4k rear but they're also fully willing to consult on a custom setup ...

Re: Hood/dash/kouki fender trim/ eyelids/ ZETA 1 etc. SOCAL
Artis is the same basic shape as a Zeta, with identical waist measurements, Bride even advertises it that way. But Artis has always had a smaller left shoulder bolster for more comfortable shifting and handbrake in RHD cars. Artis Navi has the right shoulder smaller. If you have a label on the seat ...

That seat is actually an Artis if my research is correct. Artis has a smaller left side shoulder bolster. Technically rarer than Zeta!

Super vague description. Give us more. Accel? Decel? Cruise? When turning? Type of noise? Speed of noise? Faster noises are generally pinion-related, lower, more rumbly noises are carrier bearings.

Re: 4AG Won't Run/Dies Immediately
That's a very good question, I bought the car with these symptoms... A further inspection shows that all fuses are good, grounds are intact, but the original COR was in the glovebox so I suspected the COR was jumped or something. I checked and there's a new aftermarket relay in place of the COR that...

4AG Won't Run/Dies Immediately
'85 GTS: Cranks, fires for a second, then dies. Doesn't respond to throttle or unplugging things. Previous owner went over all the usuals: changed fuel pump, fuel filter, pulled COR and jumped fuel pump with a switch, replaced AFM. PO thought it was maybe FPR? Strange thing to me is that there's no ...
