Well, since you're from Australia I would look up this site as they for the most part has gone through your dilemma.

Well, it's a 1800cc 7AFE block with I guess a set of oversized map 4AgZE 8.9:1 pistons? ...... Stock 7AFE head gasket? ............. Early "bluetop 4AGE" cams? ........... Professionally machined head? ........ All of the above?

Only the US and some middle eastern countries got the Trueno (pop up headlights) AE86s. The rest of the world got the Levins. Know your hachi-roku history my young padawan. ;) ;) I knew they existed, but never actually seen one. Factory LHD Levins were Euro-spec only. You forgot Japan, btw Lol (unl...

Re: 4A-FE pistons question
Zombie'ising this thread. Last millennia my good friend and his daughter have build up an EL40 Tercel with this combo: a 4AF (yes, the early carbe'd one) block with 4AGE "bluetop"'s conn rods w/small ends rebored for the 1st gen 4AGZE pistons. It was fairly zippy combo with mildly ported h...

Vaya vaya, hay que ver que si esta en buenos manos este ochoseis. Congrats for the find and congrats on this well executed rectification. Now, IF you by any chance could get hold of a 7AFE engine..... that would be the best. Same amount of ponies as the early "bluetop" 4AGE and decidedly m...

Re: OST-044: What the "F"?
LOVE the work MR.TOY you think it would be possible to use bag 16v springs with these heads? I know the 16v valves can be used with a little machine shop work. I'm currently doing something similar with my F head. problem here is spring bind. As was discussed in http://club4ag.com/forums/viewtopic....

Re: Opinions on Sr5 20v swaps vs GTS 20v swaps and conversions and everything else
I've said this on the 4AG message board and on the old forum: if it is an OEM AE86 GT-S it would be near sacrilegious to swap any other engine into it. To me, MY thoughts. But I mean, a 4AGZE or 20V or turbo 4AG I wouldn't mind. The 4AC equipped AE86 may even be swapped with an LS, I don't think twi...

Re: Max stock valve lift 16 valve
Zombie-ising this thread.... when I decided to supercharge my bluetop a millennium ago following the failure of the crank pulley pin, I ordered a set of TRDUSA 4AGE valve springs from an old TRD catalog. I had already a set of HKS 264/256/8.32mm cams, 7AFE 0.8mm head gasket and during the rebuild of...

Re: Info on swapping a 20v into an '87 FX16 GT-S?
The ST is stronger than the BT solely by its conn rods. Very similar to the 4AGZE's. In the early '00 I turboed (stock T25 from an SR20DET) mine with "zenki" 4AGZE's 8:1 pistons, injectors and ECU, Mazda FD's ic, ST205 blow off valve...... and the 7AFE's headgasket. Took me 16 months to bu...

GZE piston into the "new" ZR block
A couple of questions. We've acquired a 1ZRFE longblock out of a Voxy and the owner is contemplating a low psi turbo built up. Low psi as in under 1bar. So we looked into the possibility of fitting a set of hi-comp GZE pistons into that engine, fully aware we shall have to overbore that block 0.5mm ...

Yeah hi!! And happy new year to you.
What I have found out about these was that the LSD equipped C160s were only available on the Superstrut suspension equipped Corollas. And even then I've found out that depending in which market they were sold..... blah blah you know.

A local white/silver EP8x with a stockblock 5E-E just hit 220whp using a "disco potatoe" limited to 16psi on a 3 gallon street gasoline to 1 gallon vp16 mix. Admittedly, he reground the stock cam, did the cylinder head and installed a full-on Aeromotive external fuel pump and kit....

Re: Why did you sell your 86?
First one I sold because I wanted an Anniversary edition AE86 because it came with the underpinnings and interior of the GTi (GT-S for you USDM peeps). I modded its 4A(C) with a reground cam, 3T valve springs, home made header, TRD side draught kit and Centrforce clutch. Then sold that for another w...

110 mph box stock. I installed anSC14 kit on my last AE86's old bluetop and went 118mph with it. After busting the stock 6.7:1 and installed a Hilux rear end with 4.1:1 gears, I went 128mph.
