Actually, those are both Japanese products. So it is probably BSPT which is slightly different than NPT.

Re: Custom shocks and struts
Interesting. I may be diwn depending on if there could be shock dyno comparisons showing where they come in against the trd blues and koni yellows (race fronts, mustang & camaro rears).

Re: Guys running the Quaife QSR...
Ok, so when I twist where the pinion gear goes in, the resistance until it starts moving should only be 6-8in lbs until it starts moving. Yeah mine was way more than that before I put it in, probably a couple foot pounds. To adjust that loosen the tension nut on the back of the rack? Just trying to...

Re: My Alternator Test: opinions requested.
Alternator grounds directly through the engine. Any power going through it will not register on the ammeter, given where you describe the shunt being.
The only thing you will see is anything drawn from the battery.

Re: Guys running the Quaife QSR...
I'm not running coilovers, and my intermediate shaft is about half an inch farther in than where Deuce Cams is. I turned the rack after I assembled it, and it felt pretty nice. I don't think I have too much grease either, since when I was turning it before I installed it it felt good and smooth, an...

I followed the path that was shown on the very hard to read 1973 celica wiring diagrams i found online. confirmed with a better-to-read fj40 schematic. also used an autometer ammeter instruction i found onlin...

You would need to modify the crossmember, or get an LHD crossmember (USA or other country).

... drag car's don't want 'squat'. They want Anti-squat. But not more than that 1:1 ratio. (meaning car stays flat on accel) I <3 traction brackets. Axle wrap on our car's is mostly a problem of the 4-link bushings, 20+ years old = wrap. New bushings or heim joint 4-links solve that, but don't solve...

Two tabs welded onto a lower bar that was part of the roll cage IIRC. It was Andy's car and BV did it.

Normal AFAIK. I run LED's I got somewhere years ago. Plugged right in and worked.
Brake switch put's 12v to one side of the bulb.
Headlight switch triggers a relay which put's power to the other side.
Bulb is constantly grounded through the housing.
Same for both kouki and zenki.
