Re: OST-048: Спасибо товарищ Сталин

I checked valve protrusion through the retainer, I have .025" on the exhaust side, and .030"+ on the intake side... so that concern is no longer a concern..... Did you have to use Bigport (or Mercedes?) keepers? Was this customer also using used OEM valves, or Supertech valves? I'm still ...

Re: OST-047: Skippy Replicate

Dumb question... is it OK to use used valves? Are there instances when valves shouldn't be reused? actually... that is a great question.... for the most part - YES, you can reuse the valves. You do have to be aware of a few things when having the valves reconditioned (ground). A few key things are ...

Do i need the intake side oil drain, or cap it?

recommend you run the drain... especially in a longitudinal layout.

you could put a bung in the oil pan... try to keep it higher then the oil level

actually that isn't right. F/A cranks were never 40mm, only OEM cranks,(early ones at that), and early HKS stroker cranks use 40 mm rod journals. The F/A cranks were always 42mm. And yes, the TRD wrist pin size would be 19mm
