Re: Ford 8.8 rear end
unless your bluetop is somehow putting out upwards of 400 ft-lbs of torque, an 8.8 makes as much sense as bolting on a matching 40 pound flywheel, while u at it. Drawback : overkill

I've switched to $40-80 digital media players. Lightweight, no moving parts, no ship. Drag n drop songs/playlists from your pc, onto SD cards

Pay no mind to n e 1 concerned about what motor goes into your corolla (unless they r sponsoring you)
nothing 'non-typical' about a UZ corolla. A bunch of 'em exist
Looks like a very clean virgin AE specimen. Lucky guy

put something over the carb inlets to block them, to see if you have a vacuum leak. Break booster sealed also ?
If the cams are some off brand regrinds, it's anybody's guess how they can idle

the nature of your questions say u need more research, and/or link up with an experienced turbo person There r enough 300hp turbo 4AGE build detailed.... or numerous 1.6L miata builds Alot of 1.6 & 1.8 miatas claim those "chinese 2871" suck on their motors. Hope that turbo somehow work...

Re: crank sensor bracket
as the sensor on the crankshaft like that is much more accurate than the CAS/dist off the camshaft due to the cambelt inclined to think spark timing needs to be no less in sync with valve events. Dist/cas is direct driven by cam Piston TDC should be in sync with cam timing either way.... verified b...

Has there ever been a more popular turbo than the T3/T4(T04E) hybrid ? Show it to me. Figure it out Yet you cant understand the simple sizing format?? T4 cold side mated to T3 hot ? T3 turbine a/r ratios; extremely common 0.48 or 0.63, or the rare 0.36 or 0.82 if you were at either end of the spectr...

http://oi68.tinypic.com/j10u9z.jpg save the pix, dunno how long link is live this is only one page of the article, but enough to get the jist I believe the B16 made ~320hp with the smaller more responsive 0.48 turbine a/r. Dyno'd the 342hp with the 0.63 a/r 4AG stock cams will choke the motor ~300h...

Re: 4age turbo HELP!!!!
T3/T4 turbo sizing is as simple as it gets. They're tried and proven old dogs I think the question was about a plain old T3. Its not the same as a T3/T4(hybrid) at all Lots of T3s have provided excellent performance on street 1.6 L. They can be upgraded to monster for low dollar if wanted I posted a...

checked out 1UZ corolla builds ?
Does it get any better for normally aspirated toyota power ?
Torque everywhere, so no need for hi RPMs
Is "hi-rev" more important than outright acceleration ? ....then cam-up a freshened balance 4AG and luv yourself

if you got 'beams' money, and are willing to go standalone. Why not boost the 4age ? Easily double the torque at the tirees.... leave a 7AG or beams in the dust. Without the 'noise' as well Add cams if u must see 8000 rpm Sounds like you're after a hi-rev mormally aspirated powerplant tho.... for ho...

Cams are too complex a subject to "guess" at. What looks 'right' on paper, make suk in reality Seen faaarrrr to many instances of that..... starting with my first ever camshaft swap in an import Long story short, I finally wound up with an Isky(just as I was advised/warned from the start, ...

Re: best place to get a tune for a newly turbod 4age
there is a learning curve to most systems.
Lotsa 'tuners' won't step too far outside their comfort zone.... especially if it's some one-off system
May not be worth it, for either (time = money)

turbo makes a 'big' difference. Even a basic low boost system with a FMU.... performance gains far above "a little more zip". Turbo has the high degree of difficulty to match unfortunately. Perhaps more than you can/want to dive into at the moment. Looking at my FX16, its actually consider...

people will always want this turbo or that, thats why I mentioned the greddy miata kit. What u see is what u got. I'd think the manifold is the starting point. I expect you won't see too many hits for a hand made custom job. That's reserved for ballers Yeah, settin up every time would be a pita. That's where the chinese come in CXracing use to make a 4AGE cast manifold for a T25 ~$150 iirc. They must have 'gues...
