Re: hks cams staggered 272 intake and 288 exhaust

My experience with the SC12 and HKS cams is limited to 264degree/7.9mm, which was a hoot to drive. I've istalled those cams (Yep, using degree wheel and such) in the late eighties and hanged the SC12 on the engine like in the early '00s. No issues whatsoever......... I guess what I wanted to say was...

Re: Runnung 3.9 or lower final drive with stock motor?

Good lookin out OST, shot an email to their parts department. I'm just curious as to why these are compatible with the our cars? Seems like such an akward cross of application. is the 6.7 10bolt combo just really universal and super common on other rear ends? I doubt all these guys are just running...

Re: Runnung 3.9 or lower final drive with stock motor?

I ran my "other" SR5 Corolla with its 4AC and stock 3.91 gear. No problem whatsoever and yes, with some tailwind it would cruise happily at 70mph. When I bought my USDM GT-S and swapped the 6.7 for a hilux diff and went from the stock 4.3 to a higher 3.9, the GT-S fell flat on its face. On...

The grey one with the red roll bar and lowered on Intrax springs/KYB shox. It was slated to get a turboed 3RZ with W59 to replace the aging supercharged bigport 4AGE but the Hilux owner backed down at the last moment. Si, mi ta di pariba.

Suave? Chassis wise I know are very similar with some exceptions like the fornt strut with its "canted" and tapering shape of the front springs, you know.

BTW you have the matte black painted ae111 with the black tinted windows?

Re: 3. gen Honda Prelude piston rings do fit smallport pisto

aBout two years ago I've ordered a set of 4AGZE smallport's 81mm pistons for an acquaintance's 1.8L Mitsubishi engine. (4G93 code??). It fit the bore but the small ends of the conn rods had to be overbored 1mm for the pins to fit and the pistons' skirts had to be ground or notched juuuuust where the...

I remember that ad. When Star Wars came to my island, most of us early teens and pre-teens could care less about the film. We were drawn by the Celica. I watched the film in the hopes to catch a scene in which the car could appear. ;) :D :D :D

Re: 4A-C block with 4A-FC head?

Keep the 4AC and just regrind the stock cam. I used 2T valve springs (of course I had to make them fit), install new rockers and rockershaft, check around for a Weber 38/38 carb (I ordered HKS's Mikuni 40PHH sidedraught setup) to use and fab up a 2.25" exhaust tube into 2" tubing into a si...

Re: ToeKnee's 4AGE-T Build

Impressive and patient build. Yes, there are few people who can extract mad amounts of power ( c?) from an engine that can. I myself turboed my old stock unopened bluetop to the tune of 204whp in ~1998 using a slightly used t3/t4.

Re: Favorite non-AE86?

I had this one once, a Datsun 160SSS with the OEM twin SU carbs and "transistorised" ignition setup. It was a hoot to drive and a scourge to bigger displacement cars of the time. I used to call it the Corvette eater because I used to humiliate those ones with the L48 350 smallblock. http:/...

4AGZE has the "z" in it, denotes it's supercharged. No worries, you can turbo it. It will support 18psi as is, stock internals.
