Would definitely consider that! But all we have is the machine that lays out the layers of plastic, getting the data from a computer with the 3d model. I may have a source for 3d scanning, but I probably won't get a chance to try it out until sometime next year... So right now, the easier method wo...

^ yup, other than that, some are missing heat shields (4ac) but you should be fine.

I guess what I most need to know is if the bodies of the auto and manual are the same i.e all the mounting points in the cabin and engine bay are there for either transmission option, or if they're different creatures. Not too sure about FX, but AE86 uses a different cross me...

Try replacing the harness before making any moves towards another engine.

Then again, if there is rust in the engine bay, and you plan on painting everything, you will end up pulling the engine anyways.

Yup bleed brakes. Did you get a Haynes manual/ dl the FSM?

Could be master cylinder.

Could be your rubber break lines at the calipers. These get old with time and become some-what spongy. People like to replace them with stainless braided lines.
