Anyone know what header I have?
I bought this a year ago before I had my car and threw it on since the stock piping was rotted through. Never knew of / could find any branding. I believe its 2.5" all the way through, its been patched together since its changed hands a few times. The back half has 4 springs holding on the axle...

Nope, all I have left of the shell is the roof and the taillight section, the rest has been cut up and sold / scrapped.

Thanks yellowsnow! They're actually 280ZX wheels with painted centers and polished lips. They're on loan from a friend until I get a nicer set, but they look pretty good for now. Thanks for the prompt reply hachigo87! It's funny, not long after asking what rims you have on your car I remembered &qu...

Re: 1986 GT-S hatchback - Full option car
I regret not buying this car every day man.. I looked at it years ago when it was owned by a kid down the road from me. From the looks of it the car has been kept in as nice of shape as it was when I looked at it years ago. I can attest that when it was here on the east coast it was one of the nices...

Re: 85 GTS coupe
Been a while since I've updated here. Everyone likes pictures right? I may have gotten a bit carried away, but its been a while so...enjoy. In the last month I've gotten the head back from the machinist, gotten the car back together, worked out a few kinks along the way and promptly pulled the motor...

Re: FWD 4age manifolds & accessories
Still have everything listed here but the fuel rail is pending sale and I just realized that the exhaust manifold has a crack on runner #4 so it'll probably end up in the scrap pile.

Re: Oil leak from headgasket?
Didn't check the block for flatness, the head was milled down before reassembly however. I know using that hg was a bad idea. I bought the kit for all the other gaskets and forgot I had a Felpro sitting here when I put it all together. Head bolts were oiled and holes cleaned before assembly, only th...

Re: Oil leak from headgasket?
I had a pretty severe coolant leak after my rebuild because I forgot / didn't know about the washers under the head bolts. Popped the valve cover tonight and the headgasket is on the right way. Pulled the first cam cap and poked around with a flashlight and it doesn't look like its cam seals. RTV'd...

~50ft/lb. It was upside down at first but I realized it before I put the head on. At this point maybe the seal came apart when I flipped it?

Re: Oil leak from headgasket?
I used a generic that came with a headgasket kit from eBay..
I'm pretty sure its not the cam seals but I'll check again. Whoops, just reread that. I replaced all the gaskets and the cam covers are dry as a bone..

Oil leak from headgasket?
So a little background to start.. I bought my 85 GTS a few months back, fixed a few issues with it and was able to drive it until the headgasket went on me. So I finally got around to getting the head work done, put it all back together and finally got it to run again. I noticed an oil leak and figu...

87 AE86 Service Manual
Overall in decent shape, cover is a little dirty and about 3 pages have some wrinkles on them. Book was obviously used but is complete and doesn't seem to be missing any pages. I was using one for an 84 when I had my SR5 and got this for the 4AG content but have since bought one specifically for an ...

Re: new guy with 85 GTS coupe
Privately run web sites like that often just add to the confusion. For instance, they show the 1985 GT-S in three paint codes. They do not indicate that the ordinary red and gray had black trim, but they show a silver/gray with black as a two-tone option. OK, fine, that would appear to confirm the ...

Re: new guy with 85 GTS coupe
Adrian, I don't argue the color combos, I just note that in ten years on this forum, no one has ever shown, confirmed, or found any indication that any panda paint jobs ever were shipped into the US market. And it was only last week that one post showed that ONE two-tone silver GT-S went into the C...
