Re: Looking to build: 4age vs. 5age vs. 7age
First, respect for wanting to build an A-series! Everyone wants to do a swap these days so as a self-proclaimed purist, this gives me hope! What else do you have done to your car? Does your state have smog laws? Which grades of gasoline are sold in your area? Appreciate the kind words. I know there...

oh, and for 'mostly street', ask youreself how much time you spend @8-9000 rpm, and is it wise building around that For a far more practical user-friendly street torque curve, at a considerably lower cost.... Looking to build: 4age vs. 5age vs. 7age
Hey everyone, 2 things first: 1: I've done some searching here and have realized that a lot of the good information that has once graced us here on Club4ag has been lost. Although this is still out there regarding 7ag vs. 5ag. http://club4ag.com/faq_and_tech_pages/5A&7A.htm 2: I've been in conta...

Re: Zenki Trueno front bumper bracket
In my recent experience, the fronts were more difficult for me to find than the rear ones. Honestly, you'll probably find them easier on Yahoo Japan auctions, then send the link to Robert at Etsuryu to have him buy them for you and ship them. His website is: https://etsuryu.com Obviously finding the...

In the process of rebuilding my starter but it’s a remanufactured that’s already been rebuilt before and may just be done.
Let me know if you have this exact starter, or any other starter for a 4age w/T50.
Thanks,

Re: New Annex Coilovers or...Old faithful TRD Blues etc..
Rates are good, especially for a stripped hatch that is still street driven. I like how TRD blues felt but the car I drove was also on TRD bushings. Controlled, smooth but still firm enough. HTS are known to be 'harsh' on the street IIRC. Koni's are good and way more comfortable than most if you pl...

Re: New Annex Coilovers or...Old faithful TRD Blues etc..
Aim to keep the front LCA's at the factory angles, either by using roll centre adjusters if you want to lower the car or by keeping the ride height close to stock. Use springs to absorb the bumps, dampers to control the springs and anti-roll (sway) bars to tune the handling. I would consider adjust...

I love keeping the suspension talk updated and appreciate all the honesty and experience here! I guess it comes down to what you want from it. Do you want an improvement over stock handling ? Are you more interested in how it looks and how low you can get it with coilovers ? Thank you for your honest reply! I don’t care how it looks if it doesn’t handle well. Seeking a large improvement over...
