Yes. By eliminating the high voltage part of the distributor (rotor, cap and wires), you can put a low profile cover on the base of the distributor and turn it into a CAS... http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-R88zEVfqD6I/UsMx2E_H7KI/AAAAAAAABXQ/XMbOCHEU5SU/s320/Technick+20v+COP+Cap+vs+Stock.png http://3.bp.b...

Re: Swift springs(8/6k) damper choice
Long story short it's terrible for a street car: too stiff, too bouncy, and too low. I have to clutch in neutral and creep over residential speed bumps and drainage dips. I can feel the chassis flex when slowly pulling up a curb at the end of a driveway, and when driving over steep angled parking l...

What's all the fuss about COP's ?
Once upon a time there was the mechanical distributor. Dead simple device with centrifugal advance, and later with vacuum advance added. This gave good and faithful service for many decades, but did need a small amount of maintenance... no problem in the days when cars were simple and most folks cou...

What happens if instead of selecting the next gear, you just knock it
into neutral and coast with no accelerator, brake or clutch ? Will it hold
a 4500rpm idle, or does it slowly drop to some lower value ?

Re: What kind of LSD unit should I buy?
So my LSD WORN out because both tires move in opposite directions. NO !! When the back of the car is off the ground and you turn the wheel, there is not enough load to clamp the plates. So the diff will act just like an open diff. But if you give the wheel a decent heave (in the forward direction)t...

Double check the plug wires for 1 > 3 > 4 > 2 firing order, put all the accessory
belts back on, and take the car for a run. You could have one or more cylinders
flooded, and you need to burn the excess gas out... driving on it will do that

Re: No spark - bad dizzy?
Usual one to miss are the 3 or 4 brown ECU ground wires that connect to a single brass ring that is located under one of the bolts that hold the black plastic wiring duct to the intake side of the head. Its the back bolt, and the brown wires pop out of the harness at the firewall end of the duct and...

Re: Fresh rebuild trans pops out of 2nd and grinds immediate
I have discovered over the years that even experts make mistakes. None of us are perfect, and the difference between a reputable shop and a dodgy one is that the reputable shop will recognise that it could have made a mistake, and make every effort to fix the problem. Not that I am in a position to ...

In that case, it looks as so you have power to the dash, so the
only possibility I can think of is that the multipin plugs that connect
the under dash harness to the cluster have fallen off.

I would also like to know what is the function of the COR ? The Circuit Opening Relay turns the fuel pump on.
