Since the Beams alternator has many of the same insides as other USDM Toyotas, I was thinking I could buy another alternator and swap the insides. Any thoughts? Anywho I put the rest...

Re: Curtis' 87 Resto Mod... BEAMS

No problem guys. So I've decided against ordering the Ke conversion kit, it was $500 USD and it still needs some cutting to the back of the sump (webbing). I figure I can have it customized exactly how I want for the same price. Plus there's nothing better than completely custom parts. So that will ...

Either way, you got a running car that is relatively inexpensive to just wrench on and learn. So more power to you!

Whats going C4AG? I'm Curtis, currently stationed in Colorado Springs. I've been around 86's and the forum since 2010. I bought an AE86 while in Iraq, joined the forum, and read and researched until my eyes bled. Just before this build started i deployed again to Afghanistan and I want to thank ever...

I take pride in the things I do, your version of pride could be totally different from mine,... In the end when I see someone who has the same style of car as mine or what I envision then I say cool.... If it's not my style, then that's their sense of pride. As long as it's not dangerous, I won't sa...

Since your in college and making something of yourself, buy it and store it. At least do the basics to try and make it run... You know when you have a few bucks and a little time between your studies and other hobbies. Then once you've graduated and get a decent job then build it however you want it...
