Re: Celica Supra Wheels - Aftermarket Lug Nuts

celica supra lugs have a shank, that fit very snug in the wheel. Most aftermarket shank diameters not the same Why longer stud ? Don't need em if u can't live without the longer studs, I'd prolly just cut the caps off the oe lugs ....mini chop saw then 'dress' it I'm about to repolish my old 14x7 su...

Excellent support & info on those BMs should definitely make ownership enjoyable https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WdTnvEf_jnA didn't think a stock GTS could ever run mid 18s. Something must be wrong with that tested sample. TVIS? Mid 16s the norm Still slow, but thats why club4ag exists. Faster i...

I totally get your logic and understand your viewpoint but this.... AE86 is a great car for modifying because the technology is basic. In the 1980's it was competing and winning in race and rally, but technology marches on and now it would be blown away by any of the current crop of "hot hatche...

Boomslang popular with the miata crew. Standalone does not have to be expensive. That is a choice you make Our starion Megasquirter does those plug n play as well, for very reasonable money. Remote tunes too. I wouldn't lock myself into stock loom or that shitty distributor placement either (interfe...

I'd think road racing motor won't see anywhere near the hp, tq or stress.... so may take the whole nine, if only to survive
First 3 boosted 4AG 10,000 rpm screamers, posting on club4age way back, ALL split the bores with psi in the 30s
I'm guessing this 1000whp 7AG prob in excess of ?60psi

a friend ran MAP electronics on his street car: bluetop with a T3 turbo @ 8psi He ran free supra 440cc injectors, tuned via a $150 used SAFC. Can't remeber if he used a 'turbo' MAP sensor tho Ran great. Fast! Even stranger, he chose automatic tranny. Added some type octane boost for 10-11psi, since ...

for AWD, a boosted 7AG (stock head/stock cam) will make more torque than you'd know what to do with
A plain old journal bearing T28, T3 or small t3/t4 will do

Re: Still building 7AGEs?

you leave a LOT on the table by running a stock head

but that's the million dollar question. How much is a LOT ? Big valves, porting, cams, etc, only relevant at the crank/tires
No dyno overlays plotting the torque, for a stock head vs modified ? Must exist, with countless 7AG builds.

Dry sump systems are capable of achieving a negative crankcase pressure. If they added the restrictor in addition to this, that suggests oil flow to the head is excessive. factory oil pump & 8000rpm redline can't be compared to an elaborate dry sump & 9500+? rpm Totally different operating ...

oh, and for 'mostly street', ask youreself how much time you spend @8-9000 rpm, and is it wise building around that For a far more practical user-friendly street torque curve, at a considerably lower cost.... toyota did a hella good job putting the motors together. I never disturb that unless some failure. Once u loosen rod bolts, hone cyliders, etc.... u degrade imo. high duration cams likely require buckets and valvesprings. All that stuff is expensive, so there goes 'cheap'. slapping on sidedraft carb...
