7AFE Forged Rods

Postby alabamaguy » Fri May 03, 2013 4:29 pm

I'm looking into doing a 7AGE but I want to forge the bottom end before I put it into the car. I'm wondering if anyone besides Spool makes forged rods for the 7AFE.

Dang. Well there are 2 different bootleg China-made 7A rod sets on eBay, one says guaranteed to 10500rpm, too lol. Go with Spool.

Well, while I have you, are the gze pistons worst pins the correct size for the 7a rods? I know piston height is different but I'm more worried about the pin diameter.

Spool will make them with either size end: 18mm or 20mm. They ain't scared.

Ill make this easy for you
2 options:

My strong recommendation is this kit. you can of course just get rods from him but this is a very very well thought out kit.

Custom 7A rods w/ ARP hardware and they will fit the larger fully floating pin
8.9 gze pistons w/ wrist pins
7A crank gear re-keyed for new deck height
