Hey everyone,
If you live in CA then I would like to request that you guys sign-up for an original CA legacy plate... The blue plates with yellow alpha/numeric characters in particular was discontinued in 1986 - hence, i would have to assume most of the 86's in the US should have come originally with these style of plates. Hence, I'd love to get my hands on the blue plates and give my car that slight original feel. HOWEVER, DMV requires that 7500 applicants sign-up in order to proces and its only at 1600... let's sign-up fellas and see if we can get these! These are treated somewhat as 'custom' plates so there is a small charge but nothing compared to trying and buy re-mades for hundred of dollars that arent the 'real' deal.

Re: California Legacy Plates
The only plate that reached the min # of applications was the 60's plate i.e. black plate with yellow lettering. you can order now via dmv.ca.gov for whoever wants one... might look neat on a black 86. I'm sad the 80's blue plate didn't make it.
Re: California Legacy Plates
Looks like the black with yellow is the only one that got through.
