[WTB] Searching for unicorn..

Looking for a mint (or as close to it as possible) kouki hatchback GT-S, with no rust, kouki interior (black/gray). Must be pretty close to stock, or easily put back to stock with parts included preferably.
Extra bonus for non-sunroof, w/AC and cruise. Maybe power steering too.

Yep, basicly a unicorn.. so show me if you have one.
Car will be taken care of until the end of days, in Norway. The home of "we never sold the AE86". Only the shitty AE82, ok ok, not that shitty.. :)
And yeah, I know it will cost a pretty penny, but that can be evaluated after finding one.

Bk.

I don't like the interior from the zenki. But show me and I'll consider it. Not like I'm swimming in options. :-)

I've visited Norway a few times (thanks to my lineage). I always imagined how crazy it would be to see an Eight Six driving around out there...

Auh man, now I want to go back.

Good luck with your search!

Yeah, I've already owned 3 over the years, but none "perfect", all imported. But each with their flaws.. Rust mostly..
And yes, they are pretty damn fun in the winter ;)
Thanks.

as far as I know the interior difference is subtle but to each their own.

I m sure there's example of what you had described because i had seen a couple (2 kouki 1 zenki) in person within the last 12 months and like you said they are pretty difficult to come by so to get people to even consider parting ways with theirs you may want to put down how much you like to spend for the right one.

Last one was pretty decent, the others are not interesting. Salvage titles can't be registered here, and too high asking price for a badly repainted car trying to cash in on initial d tax... :-P
Still, not the one. Btw. Is there a way to search all of Craigslist in one go?

perhaps you should try to up your budget or look into Japan market (if RHD is ok in your country) if you are looking for a collector grade example.
Seriously $12k (assuming USD) won't buy you much here in CA (not sure about anywhere else though).
Anyhow best of luck finding your perfect example.

If I can find a "collector grade" example, then yeah, I could pay more. I'd love to buy the "baddest AE86.." add :) but I would have to mess up all the great work done to it to get it registered here, so thats a no, sadly.

But I'm "only" asking for one with a near mint interior and clean exterior with no rust.
The mechanical isn't that important, because parts can mostly be obtained. The big stuff is the problem, interior, body, things that I can't have shipped without paying as much in shipping as a whole car. And of course, the less stuff that I need to fix the better.
A lot easier to register a stock car here too, also if I decide to do mods or engine swaps, then it's easier to start with a stock car that hasn't been messed with before.

I might be changing the hood, hatch and maybe the doors to CF ones, if I can find em with mountings for the normal things. (windows, rails, interior, locks, handles and such). So if those has problems, I might still consider it. (still need the vin plate in the door to match the dash and engine bay for registration purposes)

Oh and no, japanese (right handed) are a no go here sadly..
