whats up, I was wondering if you would be able to help with my A/C installation.

I have been working on a sr5 to gts swap. I am trying to piece together parts necessary to install a A/C system but I'm a bit stuck.

I currently have:
-complete sr5 a/c system ( lines, evap, compressor, condensor, etc.)
-Kouki gts evaporator w/ amplifier
-Non P/S 4ag compressor mount
-and all of my wiring is from a zenki gts

I was wondering if you knew of any differences between the kouki and zenki a/c compressors and a/c wiring harness?
Also what did you do about the A/C idle up and what parts are necessary?

thanks for any help.

Did you catch this video? https://youtu.be/WLSNISShtTI
Make sure to read in the description as I talk about some of the lines differences that I've found.

As for the compressor, does your engine harness have the 2 wire blue plug for the pressure safety switch on compressor and the black power wire for the electromagnet clutch? If so, the compressor in the link on that video should work...but since you have no powersteering, I'm not sure what that will change...but they do sell a non powersteering version as well on that same page I believe.

Not 100% sure about the ac wiring harness (under dash with the 2 relays etc) and any differences....but their shouldnt be any differences.

Ac idle up....i had a ac idle up valve in my box 'o parts luckily that I used. It hooks up to the vacuum via intake tube going to int. Manifold and electrically hooks up via a plug on the engine harness.

Let me know what other q's you have.....

It's getting ever so close to the finish....join me in this episode as I tackle the tedious and much repetitive task of wetsanding and buffing (dont worry I edited the video). Plus I remove the runs from the paint and install the zenki GTS decals!

Measuring pinion angle and install an adjustable panhard or lateral bar then make some fine tuning adjustments to center that rear end.

Here it is all in one episode. Setting timing per the Toyota factory service manual. Also, I set up the throttle body and TPS (throttle position sensor).

One suggestion on the setting up the TPS. The bottom screw attaching the TPS to the TB, can be a real PITA when it comes to access. $hit can the stock Toyota screws and go to your local hardware store, in my case Home Depot and get two Allen Socket screws. They should be 4mm - 0.7thds x 12mm lg. Life will be so much better. DaveW
