damn son, its a real GSR too, right? shoot, you could easily sell that to fund your AE86 8-)

Yeah bro, but you see why I'm stingy.. lol. CW DC2s with JDM front look so good..

Yeah it's legit original CW paint with GS-R vin, LSD, and 120k...

They do look good, but not as good as an AE86 ;) The fact that its original CW paint and GSR VIN makes it worth a decent chunk of change too! Definitely enough to do a total 20v swap i'd say, or rebuild the f*ck out of your current motor

idk if I've shared this with you or not, but you might dig this since you're a Honda guy too. This was what my civic looked like when I got it back from paint before it got rear ended

I miss it, but the b16/18 doesn't have sh*t on the 4ag in the sound department 8-)
Plus its more exciting trying to keep the ear axle of the 86 under control than FWD.

lol, not a fan of those but I had a red 99' SI with 14 pounds of boost.. Motor was also built... Thing was a crazy beast. It actually got stolen, and chopped up... Lost about 10k on that.

Hondas are reliable and fun but I just never really like their looks.. always seemed boring. Minus the NSx

I have just been moping around all depressed and **** lol.

I really don't think I'm gonna rebuild this motor myself. I might start looking into shops to do a stock rebuild on the 16v.

Any ideas on cost?

Man, I feel your pain. I actually have a spare block I built for my AE92 back in the day. Not sure if the rings didn't seat or were stuck but it blew oil pass the rings, it's just in storage. Would need a re-hone and new rings to make it right. It's bored to 82.5mm, arias low comp pistons, aftermarket rods, balanced crank, all the goods. Ridiculous money spent.

Lol sorry dude, I'd take the sound of a 4ag over a b-series any day. The vtec crossover is cool and all, but thats about it

All good, im quite fond of the na 4ag sound. They really do sound good, even 100% oem.

But, the dohc b series honda vtec engines hold a special place in my heart. Before f&f i had a swapped b18cr civic. That was truly an amazing engine in oem trim. It RIPPED!

I look at those honda engines as kind of an improvement
on the 4ag. A successor if you will.

Well, I have a GF now and I bought a couple of nice golf shirts at Bealls Outlet.

But seriously, I've decided on selling the GS-R and another car. More than likely getting a 97' AE101 as a daily so I can decide what I want to do. None of my DD's are doing their job well so just need to triage things.

It's just sitting at my buddy's house probably getting pissed on by cats and ratssss lol. Scalpel wanted to buy it but he's been AFK and I've been thinking about keeping her anyway.

LOL dude same. It's looking like some of the money I planned on spending on my AE86 is going towards a deposit on an apartment

Good call on the gsr and ae101 though. You can find those all day every day for dirt cheap, and they're indestructible. I bet you could get yourself a new dd AND have plenty left over to get your ae86 running with the money you get out of the gsr.

Decided on selling the 86... I know it's gonna be a bad band daid to rip off but I will absolutely be back...

Just need to start over from scratch, plus life is taking an interesting direction..

My plan is to buy a cleaner SR5 hatch once I finish school, But AE101 build going up soon..

Stay tuned :-)

There's also a chance that starting from "scratch" would start you out further than before too! Im on all the AE86 pages on facebook and there's always people posting their cars for sale. Goodluck homie!

Sooooo

I texted my friend who has the 86 at his house (he's a shop mech) and asked him if he was free to haul it back here. He asked me what I'm gonna do with it.. I said I dunno! lol.

Then he said to leave it, cuz he's "got plans for it"...

TO BE CONTINUED???

Just FYI, It didn't work out between me and Scalpel. Looks like I'll be holding on to her.

I'm gonna try hard to reboot this. I really need to attach myself to a decent photosharing site that doesn't de-cache every 3 months lol.

Hope things are going well for evveryone, it's finally about to be nice weather down here.

So 86 is finally back in my garage. Refused to do anything in the dirt as it's just a mess in FL.

My first accomplishment is removing the engine and transmission, and getting the engine bay ready for paint...

Just wondering, Awkword, I think you did this, and a couple others.. What's the best way to go about it? I think to save on cost I'm going to remove everything myself and sand and prep... Anyone have a loose order of removal?

Hope everyone is having a good fall, it's getting really nice here!
