Ae86 moonroof to sunroof?

Postby ae86cesar » Sat Jan 02, 2016 4:10 pm

Hello everyone, I've recently bought an ae86 coupe with a moon roof. I got a hold of a complete sunroof assembly and was just wondering if anyone as previously done this type of thing. I guess what I'm asking is it it's drop in affair or if it needs to be a custom type of thing. Also there was some type of weatherstrip, where would I buy this new? Thanks in advance for any help

This thread... viewtopic.php?t=3140&p=18591
... has some good pics of how the sunroof assembly is fitted to the car. I guess
the hole in the roof has to be the right size and shape, and in the right position
for everything to go together correctly.

Thanks, was just curious to see if anyone has installed a sunroof, on a car that was originally moonroof. I have all the parts guess I'll have to find out for myself
