power window switch

anyone knows why the passenger window switch on the drivers side won't work but the passenger side switch works.
trying to fix the drivers side switch but don't know where to start.

check out your switch. take off the door panel and check for voltage with a multimeter at the plug.

also, download the manual.

I had to take mine apart and clean all the contacts with electrical cleaner.

you're right it isnt always the contacts.. my destroyed window switch is also in that thread. which by the way is even worse condition now. the face plate is totally shattered now. just the bare contacts are left.
