Re: New Toyota Guy Here

A Tercel is a FWD econobox that is probably no fun to drive. A 1980 Corolla would be RWD econobox and more fun to drive.

Re: CA Shop Recommendation

You could buy a hydraulic press for have the price and have it done in no time lol. But if you are really stuck and cant find a reasonable place to do it. I pressed out every bushing that needed to be pressed with this http://i761.photobucket.com/albums/xx256/ogdougynutty/1206141226_zpsfd8f9ee3.jpg...

Re: CA Shop Recommendation

I know this question has been asked countless times but I'm hoping someone can help me with a SoCal shop recommendation for installing a complete bushing kit. I went to my usual place but they quoted me $650 for the install. That sounds quite high to me. And they made it seem like they've never don...

Re: newbie question

4ACs aren't that horrible. If budget is a concern then you will be saving for a while to get a GTS. Personally I wish I would have bought a GTS back when you could get them for 2500 (yea... I made the mistake and went cheap) but my 4AC pulls pretty strong. Honestly if it is clean I would pick it up ...

Can someone describe the play in the manual steering from the above posts? I'm wondering if the play in my steering is from the same issue as described in this thread. I also have a AW11 steering rack and a MK3 Supra intermediate shaft. When I'm driving straights the steering wheel can move/float l...

Re: Guidelines for Selling an AE86.

Best advice is don't do it!! Honestly though, it's hard to get what you put into it back. Even though you may have put a lot of money into the parts that are on the car, the parts are not worth the same thing to other people. You will always get people trying to tell you that they will give you less...

You can try this stuff http://multimedia.3m.com/mws/media/107695O/3mtm-super-fast-urethane-08609.pdf. I remember using it back in the Starion days for a motor mount or something. The urethane may even absorb some of the vibration.

I would be more worried about if they crawled into the dash and chewed any wires which I've seen a lot on other car forums. Without a doubt I would be wearing gloves the whole time. Maybe you can fumigate the car?

Better images of the seat... for the price you should not expect something that will look good in a show car. hahaha http://i999.photobucket.com/albums/af120/4acae86/ae86parts/20141122_082635_zpsuyosnhsq.jpg http://i999.photobucket.com/albums/af120/4acae86/ae86parts/20141122_082629_zpspruuil5q.jpg h...

WTB Heater Parts... Need a warmer Corolla!!!!!

I'm looking for the box the heater core sits in (mainly the part with the door/flappy thing), the different colored AC control cables and a heater valve. If you have any or all of that, please let me know... I'm too old to be handing my girlfriend a blanket to stay warm while i'm driving. Than...

I went camping for my birthday in the Angeles National Forrest. The cats on my Bronco are clogged and I need tires on the old pickup so guess which car got to go camping. Luckily it's a hatch. The carb wasn't too happy in the cold and altitude, but since it was only for the weekend I figured it wasn...

Might also want to check the wires going from the alternator to the fuses. Those wires are all in the loom and could melt a lot of things together if something goes wrong.
