Been having a lot of strange problems, think I might need a new ecu. Worth a shot right?
Let me know what you have to offer.

Re: Another 20v with idles problems
Ok sorry this took so long, my days off are mon and tues. I just necked the dash pot and replaced some hose clamps on the vacuum line for the brake system. I don't think they we leaking but I'm doing everything I can. The dash pot was fully retracted at idle. Also, with the airbox off, I can plug th...

Re: Another 20v with idles problems
When it's idling make sure that dashpot is fully retracted and that all the butterfly actuators are sitting hard on the stops. Just to make sure, the dash pot is the part I between throttle #2 and #3, is gold/brass, had a rod coming outhouse the top that touches one of the throttle brackets when cl...

Re: Another 20v with idles problems
Ok I'm under the car now. All of the vacuum lines under the throttle are where they are suppose to be. Everything is plugged in and the yellow lines on the bump stops all line up. So the problem is unresolved. I put about 7psi through the system and it holds it with no leaks. The throttle were remov...

Re: Another 20v with idles problems
There should be a dashpot inbetween the ITBs underneath. It is pretty common for people to forget to hook this up and it will hold the throttles open a little bit without vacuum to close it all the way. You definitely don't want to tamper with the AFM. Hopefully you marked where it originally was. ...

Another 20v with idles problems
So my silvertop (closed airbox) is idling high. Around 2000-3000 hot or cold. I can force the throttles closed really tight and it will sometimes get down to 1500 but often ends up surging. I have done my research and found that vacuum leaks are the number 1 cause. So I pressurized the system and no...

Re: 20v ST only runs on 2 cylinders
1342 firing order. I think you have them switched. As embarrassing as it is, you were correct! I can't believe I looked over something so simple. Thank you very much for helping, Next time you are in Houston, the beer is on me. It runs pretty good now, idles is very high but I don't think the rear ...

Re: 20v ST only runs on 2 cylinders
I will check when I get off work.
When it lost compression #1 was at 45lbs, #4 was 60lbs, 2 and 3 were 160lbs+-5.
Thank you for the help, I'll post updates.

20v ST only runs on 2 cylinders
I have been having some trouble with my silver top. It would randomly drop cylinder 1 while driving. Then it lost compression on 1 and 4 so I had the head rebuilt with a new gasket and studs and got it all back together. Now, when the engine is running, it is very rough and shakes the whole car, so ...

GTSR5 Won't Start???
A few months ago me and a friend bought a messed up gtsr5. It ran when we picked it up but the previous owner was absolutely horrible to the car. After he wrecked it, he went through it and took a lot of things off the car. To make a long story short, we replaced the rad core support and all the par...

Re: Turbo 4AGE 20V Silvertop!
I have no first hand experience. But all the research I have done tells me that the ST rods are a little bit more resilient. I have seen 5 to 7 lbs is safe. No idea on the ecu.

WTB Cheap descent fitment wheels
Looking for just about anything with a relative low offset that wont break the bank.
I am in Houston, Texas and willing to travel within reason to pick them up.
I have 1 celica supra wheel and have sourced 2 more so if you have 1 for sale that would also be great.
Thank you for your time.

Thank you.
