Does anyone know where I might be able to get the plastic pieces that go over the hatch and gas door release levers? Currently, mine are just bare metal with the plastic pieces missing and I am looking to get either new, or used but in new condition pieces to un-ghettofy these pieces.
TIA

Re: Overpriced AE86'S?
Overpriced is relative. You can pick up a running gts between $3,000-$5,000. Also, ae86s are not all about drifting and Initial D. - You should not whine about overpricing if you: live with mommy and/or daddy, are not paying rent, not sharing a mortgage, pay for sex, single, married with no kids......

Do you have a price for wheels without tires? If I were to buy something like these, in these sizes, I would get wider tires and not so stretched. For the right price, I might be very interested in taking them off your hands.

Re: Which lightweight flywheel to get?
Thanks MisterJerk! Good info there. I dont clutch kick at all, and feather only at certain times so over heating shoudnt be an issue. I am familiar with how LWFW's drive, and how they easily stall so that should be fine with me. I have a lightened FW on my M5 as well. So I will consider Toda's FW am...

Re: Which lightweight flywheel to get?
I have been looking at those as they seem very abundant and affordable. Was it prone to clutch chatter and gearlash? I am looking for a light enough flywheel to allow for quicker revs and reduction of rotational mass (noticeable) without introducing chatter. I probably clutch kicked mine more than ...

Re: Which lightweight flywheel to get?
I have an exedy stage 2 and an F1 10lb. Works very well. Would you happen to have any videos showing the responsiveness of the FW? Or in car footage driving on it? I can probably rig something up in about a week. I've got the car on stilts, but should be able to find my phone dock and go for a driv...

Re: Which lightweight flywheel to get?
Also looking for suggestions on a full face or 5-6 puck clutch that has positive engagement, but isnt too grippy that it shocks the drive line every time its engaged that will mate with a lightened flywheel. I dont know junk from quality (aside from the obvious expensive Custco and the like) so im a...
Re: Rays EMU?
Dont know exactly how rare they are as I have seen quite a few for sale here and there online. What you dont see often is people taking this wheel face and getting new barrels installed creating a really deep dish set, which IMO would look amazing. Always loved this style wheel.

Re: Cali ppl only- Quick question about late fees
2-3 months in late registration the fees are not that high as you mentioned. But I was a year behind once and it was quite expensive. I think I had to pay over $200 to get the tags. Youre talking years? Its going to be fairly expensive.

Thats awesome. He being excited means until he turns 16, he will be dreaming and fantasizing about "his" car. He had dad can work on maintaining the car and bond in that manner. And once its his, he will treat her right. I talked about keeping mine for my son who is only 6 months old, but ...

Re: What did you do to your car today?
No prob. I looked into it as I wanted to lighten the driveline as well, but I had found numerous threads like that one, which discouraged me from exploring more into it. Im not saying its not doable, but appears that you have to get just the correct pinion angle to get it right. Seems like a lot of ...

Re: What did you do to your car today?
You can search the topic for other sites discussing the topic, but I also recall reading that the pinion angle on a single piece DS can cause unwanted vibrations, even from reputable companies. It doesnt appear to be the shafts fault, but the angle. http://www.aeu86.org/viewtopic/one-piece-driveshaf...

Me too. I just happened to search for the color on an ae86 when this thread popped up. I love Sepang Bronze on the M5 and I have seen it on other cars and they all look great wearing that color.

agreed. Stay away from the plastic ones. They take away from the lines of the ae86 body and look horrid. Metal OEM ones or nothing at all.
