20V on MS2 idle issue
Hi I'm running my 20V on a DIY Autotune PNP MS2 in an AE111 Levin. It has a random stalling issue where sometimes when I press the clutch the revs drop so fast the engine stalls, this is not helped by a slightly sticky C56 gearbox. Most of the time the revs will drop, slow down and settle to idle bu...

Re: Persistent COR and gauge problems, 20V swap
I don't know about the US cars but the Euro and Jap cars have a Green and Red wire that comes out of the COR and the ecu grounds this wire via the pin FC. Also the +B supply for the ecu comes from the engine bay relay box through the engine harness and into the passenger side junction box, if you do...

Re: Anyone Techno Toy Tuning T3 camber plates ?
The T3 top mounts come with a separate nut and sleeve to go into the bearing unlike the 1 piece Cusco nut/sleeve. You might have to relieve the strut top a touch to get the other bolts in, the gold bearing housing is probably universal and dictates the sliding area of the red plate. So without using...

I have drilled 2 M6 holes in them and using a bit of flat bar made up a quick puller for removing the pulley. If I'm stripping an engine and you remove the thrust washers the oil pump will just clear the dowels and then put the crank, oil pump and timing pulley in a press and it moves easily. Heat wo...

Re: What variant of 4agze do I have ?
First check is big port or small port, look for the oil return from the head at cyl. 4 to the block just above the sump on the intake side to identify a small port. From what I've seen the AE92 superchargers don't have a cover over the clutch and look like a + whereas the AE101 S/Cs have a cover. MR...

Extend the heater pipe bracket with some steel and mount it to the M8 hole lower on the block.

If they are OEM rods there 4 indications to identify the front. On the rod beam there's a round bump to indicate the front. On the cap there is an extra bit to the curved shape on the outside of the cap. The thrust side oiling hole. And the 2 grooves for the bearing notches to sit into (if in doubt ...

Did you use genuine hangers the 2nd time? The spurious ones are quite crap to be honest whereas the genuine ones are much stiffer and stronger 90301-36001 is the part number.

Cut the end off the lead that's in your hand and crimp on a ring connector and ground it to the chassis to stop the coil from arcing to the chassis.
Remove your MSD coil as the 20V coil is mounted on the bulkhead.

Front indicator is the same as rear 1156.
The clear corner light should be 35W but you can use a 1156 instead.
From what I can find the front park light bulb number is 207. Its a 5W bulb.

Ah you don't want a top mount turbo so for fwd use.
You can get the Kelway in a bottom mount also or most of the other common manifolds available are bottom mount.
Haven't dyno'd mine probably around 200hp at the crank.

The obvious flaw in the HKS design was that they mounted the turbo close to the firewall to clear the P/S pump but then required a crap downpipe. You can see it in this picture: http://www.shkirev.com/ebayphotos/280713/RANDOM/hks1.jpg The Kelway manifold from AJPS is a proven manifold with a nice tu...

From what i remember most aftermarket ECU's for the Blacktop (like Blitz, JAM, TOM's, etc) rev to about 8500 rpm. So i consider that as a safe limiter. Stock is 7800 rpm for the 5-speed and 8250 or so for the 6-speed ecu. Without a catalytic convertor you can rev about 200 rpm more on a stock engin...
