Re: Have to crank a long time for engine to start when cold.

Here's something you should check. You do have a fuel filter in your gas tank doesn't matter if it's GTS or SR5, check to see if that's clogged. You could also have a small crack in the line some where allowing air to get into ur lines making you loose your prime. That's why it fires back up once th...

Hey OST, I'm an avid reader of your post and the knowledge you drop on us on here, it's very useful and informative. But I do have a question about the physics of how porting and polishing works, cuz I've heard of two different theories behind it. Theory one is that the smoothing and expanding of th...

Re: hey guys long time.

5k, should be good enough to get a GTS corolla. The problem you're going to run into is trying to find one, then trying to find one that isn't all rusted out. I would start checking craiglist in your state, and then the states around you. Good luck trying to find one, they are out there though. Post...

T3 has a front support bar. You an probably create one and either weld it on which I don't recommend, or bolt it up which in my opinion is the best bet. Here's what it looks like.

Do any of you have the dimensions for the TRD Banner for the AE86? Or if someone can take some quick measurements that would be great as well. Thank you. Pic of the banner.

Re: Radiator support question.

Most ppl that have to replace their front radiator support is to accommodate a specific engine change. If you're looking to replace your radiator support due to damage, try and contact Herb, at Cabe Toyota, in CA. He doesn't work miracles on ordering OEM parts for our 86's, but that part might be ob...

Great look 86 man, love the color! Why did u say ppl hate the T3 coils? I've been on this forum for a long time and I've never seen anyone say anything bad about them. I've been rocking my T3 coilovers for over 10years and they still preform top notch for me when I take my car to autox. Just curious.

Re: Ideas Please.....

IMO, i think this is too broad of a question to ask. i've read on this forum lots of ppl building a 7AG N/A, and boosted, but very few of them post up real numbers/dyno charts. There are very many combinations you can use that can get you different types of numbers. I think it all really depends on ...

Why wouldn't you run the 205s on your 7" rims? I have 205 RT615s on my 15x6.5 rims and it's a great setup. Thanks for that advice; I might do that as well. The reason why i haven't done that yet, is cuz the 15x7 tires are still good in condition. That's why i want to get a second set of rims. ...

I'm running 15x7 0 offset Konig Rewinds with General Exclaim 195-50-15(No Longer Available) with T3 coilovers. These tires that i'm running now are a hard compound rubber tire so they can last longer. I've AutoX them twice, and they are no good slip and slide to much even when i do air pressure adju...

Re: 4A 7A Clutch Question

I don't think you lose/gain any hp by changing to a different diameter flywheel. I think the only thing that might change is torque band, since going to a smaller lighter flywheel will cuz the engine spin faster and give you better throttle response. That's why ppl go with lighter flywheels so the e...

Re: Can these be blocked of

I would say No. Those lines are all part of your cooling system and if you block any of them off you might disrupt the flow of the coolant through the engine cuzing hot spots in different parts of the engine. Now, if you planning on building a show car that just needs to move from point A to point b...

Re: Rear end wiggle/ steering drift?

U might want to check the bushing of the 4 links in the back. They may be really worn and dry rotted apart. Also check the welds on the rear end and the chassis where the 4 links mount up and make sure none of those bases are cracked. U might also want to check ur adjustment to your T3 Lateral Bar a...
