 My mistake, I was thinking it was supposed to attach to the ends of the tension rods like some other styles I've seen. And now looking at the bends in the cusco bar, it doesn't even look possible to attach the way i was thinking. Haha it's alright, I could see how that gets confusing. CAD so...
Great Beams swap, and great looking 86! One question, how wide are the rims you running? Also, why did you chop up ur rear bumper for? Thanks and good luck on ur following track days! 15x9 -15 square setup with 225/45-15 tires Chop the bumper for "less drag", not really, its just for the ...
Cool, thanks. I was curious because the ITB spacing with the xcessive adapater is a little different than it is on the 20v, so I wasnt sure if the bolt holes would all line up perfect. I believe the bolt and ITB holes lined up decently but need a tiny trim here and there. Its been about a year sinc...
What adapter did you use for your quads? Xcessive? If so did the itg plate bolt right on? Xcessive yes, and the ITG plate from SQ did work but I ended up taking off those quick release fasteners and using bolts and nuts to secure the two together. Slightly sanded down edges to make the fit tighter ...
Some updates from May. Since then, I have just been driving the car as much as I can and been to a few track days. Replaced the HAWK HP+ with WINMAX W4 pads and went with Rota Grid Classic 9J -15 & Hankook R-S3s in 225/45-15 for the track setup. http://i.imgur.com/fbcZr5V.jpg http://i.imgur.com/...
The AJPS RX7 caliper bracket uses smaller Civic EG rotors. AJPS also makes an adapter bracket that uses larger S13 rotors for the rear and you can reuse the AE86 rear caliper. I bought my RX7 off a member here a couple years ago and it uses Mini Cooper S rotors but I forgot his name. I run DBA4000 r...

This is what has been going since late 2013 till now, the BEAMS swap. Here is a writeup by the shop that did most of the swap for me: http://cyriousgarageworks.com/swapped-beams-3sge-ae86/ http://i.imgur.com/8k5vlea.jpg http://i.imgur.com/rSaoqay.jpg http://i.imgur.com/OPlNoDB.jpg http://i.imgur.com...
Hey Everyone, This is my 2nd 86, first was written off... I have a running build log over on another local forum but thought I would share over here at Club4AG. Just photos on this first post! http://i.imgur.com/OGs10NC.jpg http://i.imgur.com/DxpGIUV.jpg http://i.imgur.com/n6CIM5t.jpg http://i.imgur...
My track setup for my 86 with CBY flares is 15x9 -15 front and 15x9 -15 (and a 25mm spacer) for the rear. 225/45-15 or 225/50-15 tires all around. Did not feel like ponying up the cash for custom Work wheels, already using a set for the street.
I am running CBY flares as well. Last year, I ran a 15x8.5 -22 wheel and 205/50 tire with T3 NCRCAs. You will probably have to do what MisterJerk suggested and yes, getting adjustable tension rods are pretty much required. And yes, I had to the back edges of my front bumper as well.
Wow... that's a very nice rear diffuser loot bag. Who makes it? Pretty instane size tires/wheels too. I'm looking into the same CBY style setup but I think the max I'll run would be 205's. I believe it's the Shine Auto FC diffuser, I bought it used. Also came with the extra fins in the center which...
The regular short shift kit made the shifter too low for me to reach (I am a 6'1 guy with longer than usual legs). Added a shifter extension similar to the one on the T3 website and it was perfect with a typical sphere shift knob. Throws were not overly long either.
8.5 -22; 205/50 10 -28; 225/50 I did not really buy wide enough for the CBY flares. Control arms are not extended at all in the front. I am going to get rid of the NCRCA and go back to RCA. Bring the camber down from -4 to something like -2. Then slap on 225/50 all around, maybe 225/50 front and 235...
Check out this link: http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/showthread.php/70606-CBY-flares-and-wheels-to-suit It gives you an idea of what you can run under the flares. Here's a photo of my 86 for reference: 8.5 in the front with T3 NCRCA and 10 in the rear. http://www.dorikaze.net/attachment.php...
sets pop up occasionally on ebay in Malaysia, thats how i got mine. they were 100% complete, and still bolted to the lower plenum. they are tough to find, and make sure you know what you are looking at. I got sold a set of silvertops and the guy was CONVINCED they were black top ones. Even after I ...
