Re: 4ag(z)e engine - parts - misc. (very low mileage)

Thanks. The entire engine and almost all ancillaries have now been sold. However, I so still have the nearly new Denso a/c compressor and bracket w/tensioner though if anyone is interested ($275 / OBO). Also have a good condition E-51 transaxle available ($275 / OBO), and a couple of very good condi...

4ag(z)e engine - parts - misc. (very low mileage)

For Sale are a rebuilt 4ag(z)e engine - parts - misc. (very low mileage) All parts come from a car that was, unfortunately, rear ended only 15k miles after a complete restoration, and since repair costs were not practical I am having to part out the car. All major ancillaries were replaced with new...

Re: Clutch replacement in AW11

Good luck. An SC is far more complicated to change clutches on than an NA because of all the extra wiring, hoses, SC, etc. The E-51 transaxle also weighs a lot more, about 125 lbs. total. The transaxle can be removed without dropping the engine, but is not easy. No coolant has to be drained though, ...

Re: aw11 supercharged alternator

I've actually got a very good condition used one if you still need a replacement. It has less than 15k miles use, and came off a restored SC of mine that got hit.
It was a new Denso model.

AW11 restored 4agze engine/ancillaries/drivetrain part-out

For sale: AW11 restored 4agze engine/ancillaries/drivetrain part-out All items are from an '89 AW11 4agze restoration project that was completed approximately 15k miles ago. The car was rear ended on the back left corner, and totaled by insurance. I haven't got it in me to start over with a new she...

Re: m2 spring review

First off, the springs you found on ebay sound like they are made for another car, as the rates were backwards from what an MR2 would use (higher rate in the rear for MR2), and wouldn't fit your car to start with. Secondly a lot of your current problem is the struts, not the B&G springs. Soft st...

Re: Wanted ae86 Trd bushing kit

i would not recommend this kit to you.. the bushings will disintigrate very fast- had this happen to 3 of my cars.. if i were you, go with the prothane bushing kit.. its 100 bux.. just FYI. That is absolute BS. Unless there are somehow drastic differences between an AE-86 and an AW11 set (and that ...

Re: Replacing control arm bushings

Any replacement urethane bushing set should come with replacement center bolts tubes. The ones from the original bushings are not made to be removed from those bushings. Additionally, oem bushings are generally not sold individually, and only come as part of new oem control arms.

Re: 4A-GZE Strip-down

Can't tell you much about the vac and water hoses at the moment because it must be a jdm setup and some of the stuff is backwards from the MR2 SC setup. As for the oil, however, don't worry as that is quite common. It comes mostly from the pcv hose that runs from the inlet cam cover to the throttle ...

Re: hks supercharger

I've studied these kits for years, that's where I get my info, and I have owned an almost identical, but even more rare NIB Blitz aw11 sc kit. Whereas on the other hand you simply get your rocks off by spouting large quantities of largely misguided, and often unsupported cr@p. You sir, are nothing b...

Re: hks supercharger

The oil has nothing to do with the rotors. The oil in the HKS charger is only for the sc gears that spin the rotors, just like with the 4agze sc-12 charger. Also, the HKS version has no dipstick for measuring and topping the oil off. The teflon, so to speak, was used on the sc-12 rotors to help with...

Re: hks supercharger

The HKS sc blower was a TX-12, with 1160 cc capacity, and 11k rpm limit. Well, you've got a couple of things to think about here, when it comes to upgrading engine components. To use the HKS kit safely, without destroying it, and getting decent safe output from it, you'll want hi-comp pistons, but p...

Re: hks supercharger

Cool piece, but hold on just a minute. These were meant to be used on a stock 4age engine, with an HKS F-Con and GCC with the NA ecu. You could use a wideband instead of the F-Con and GCC, but you have apparently forgotten something else here. The 4agze that you are using has low comp pistons. This...

These jerks have been doing this for years, and on more than just that set. They have also had the wrong tob for the 4agze for ages. They have also known about these issue for years, and still do nothing about it. Really lame!

As stated the TRD headers have not been made in years, however, a company in the NW has been making very good clones of them for some time now: http://www.stans-headers.com/toyota_headers.htm Unless an original TRD set of headers was in exceptionally very good condition, which would be very rare by ...

Re: Anyone know how to order from TBS Japan

Contact http://www.ep-importers.com/apps/location/ as suggested. I have used them several times, and they are very reliable, and decently priced exporter/importers. FYI: TBS (or virtually any other Japanese company) will not sell or ship items outside the country, so a service such as EP must be used.
