Revs cut, backfires on 15° normal mode, 20° is ok
Hi guys, Sorry for that weird description   Well, my problem is that I am having issues with the timing and rev cuts around 1.8k-2.5k rpms. Also, I can’t set the timing marks fine because on diagnose mode, when I put engine in 10°BTDC engine backfires and sounds horrible, if you tr...

Re: I'm creating a tool for a perfect TPS fittment
Yes can't wait to see some photos. Do you plan to sell these? I look forward to this, any updates? You're in the right place, and it'll be interesting to see the results  Hi! Yeah! I’m testing the tool with my 4AGE Celica and I was able to set the TPS like in the Toyota Manufacture. I had a d...

Yeah! It was a little pipe rear the engine that sends water to the Throttle body when engine is cold in order to rev up the engine until it warms. I replaced it and for now is working fine
THANK YOU ALL 4 UR HELP!

I'm creating a tool for a perfect TPS fittment
Hi guys, this is my first post on this forum. I'm creating a tool that allows you to setup the TPS on your 4A-GE and others with 4-Pins connector without any kind of gauge and align it as it was new from the Toyota factory. I'm testing it on my 4th Generation 4A-GE Toyota Celica and it seems that wo...

Re: Big port overheat problem
Water pump failure is extremely rare, I've never seen one but I've heard of Many water pumps being replaced for reasons only slightly related to it. Not that water pumps don't fail, they leak & their bearing goes bad, but failing to actually pump is almost unheard of, a few have broken impeller...

Re: Big port overheat problem
Does your cooling system look like this... https://i.imgur.com/Aj5flB7.png If it does, then it will rely on hot coolant flowing down the smaller "bypass pipe/hose" to heat and activate the thermostat. If the bypass is blocked then the thermostat will stay closed and prevent coolant leavin...

Re: Big port overheat problem
With the fan belt off, if you turn the water pump by hand do you feel any resistance or play in the shaft? It does sound like the water pump. I would say you got your monies worth if it the original pump. Really not that bad of a job to replace. Just do not over tighten the belt when installing. Da...

Big port overheat problem
Hello everyone, I have a T16 Toyota Celica with a Late Big Port 4AGE with overheat problems. It started one night driving normally on a mountain pass and engine got over 100°C, so I stopped it and call the insurance to tow it (my first time with this temp). Next day I dryed the water circuit and cha...
