Re: Projekt 8086 (PIC HEAVY!!!)
HAH! I recognize that carb setup anywhere! That's my old setup! Wow, got shipped halfway across the country, but yeah, definitely looks like my old rig. How's she treating you?

I'm more surprised no one has commented on the name yet. Hilarious choice if you speak even a little Japanese.

Re: [Q] Where to buy rear springs?
You can also use 5.5" x 8" front coil springs for dirt track cars. You'll need to weld a keeper on the spring perches (axle side). The only downfall is it is usually very high rates available, but I'm sure if you contacted some of the manufacturers they'd make you a custom set, although I ...

Re: TRD N2 Question
Thanks Cho! Even if you can tell me the issue of the vid I'm sure I can dig it up. And it's a shame it was shelved due to Sakurai's death, looked like it had a pretty decent amount of promise.

Re: TRD N2 Question
No one? I figured this would be of some interest to the track guys, and the drifting guys seeing as it would allow for better camber changes throughout suspension movement.

TRD N2 Question
This isn't exactly the norm for a question, so here it goes. On Youtube, they had a clip from some BMI or HV involving Tsuchiya's personal N2 car, it was an update as to what they were doing with it as told by Sakurai. I remember it had a flat floor, angled lower trailing arms on the rear axle, and ...

Re: Camshafts... What is your desire??
Regrettably these cams are for the wrong motor, otherwise I'd say gimme some 288s with 10mm lift! What engine would you like 288/10mm cams for??? 1UZ-FE. I haven't even gotten the base engine running yet (lack of funds), so I'm sure 288s or the like would be a bit much for just getting to...

You can also get them brand new from A1 Turbos in NZ, but they aren't cheap.

Re: AE86 3 Link Setup
Thanks Andrew! I'll have to start making measurements and the like to get a rough idea of where I need to be. On the upswing I get to use all of my new toys!

Re: I'm surprised it was never mentioned on the old board
If we got enough people involved we could make it a container shipment, that'd make it'd about a hundred times cheaper haha.

I'm surprised it was never mentioned on the old board
http://xtr-auto.eu/index.php/products-and-services/22-ae86-products Enjoy gentlemen, your fiberglass replacement bits are here :D I'm especially digging the fact that you can pretty much back half the car in fiberglass now given the work these guys have done. The prices aren't too radical (around 3...

AE86 3 Link Setup
Regrettably with the loss of the old forum a rather interesting setup was also lost (checked the wayback machine, nada) involving a 3 link setup for the rear axle. I remember the owner had used an e-brake boot to cover the opening made in the rear of the car, but I cannot remember how he setup the c...
