Re: How much power does an AE86 need to feel "quick"

i would look into a 4.7 rear end gear or run smaller tires. i run a 185/55/14 and i did the math and it is comparable to a 4.5. you will get more responce out of it and it will feel "quick". but by no means will your car feel "fast" if you get what im saying it is just a corolla

yes the intermediate shaft is not supposed to be in all the way just enough to be in the steering column and to reach the steering rack. try pulling it out a bit until it reaches. i had the same issue when i installed mine. the mk3 supra shaft is so long that you wont have to worry about it coming o...

for a deep non raspy tone use a pre-muffler or a resonator. check out after market exhaust systems. there is usually 2 mufflers and those are the ones that usually sound better.

the COR has 5 wires 3 on one side and 2 on the other. if you jump the side with 2 wires it will bypass your COR. if the car runs then its your COR. if it runs poorly then its probably your AFM. also check that you dont have any cracks in your intake tube as it could prevent the flapper in the afm fr...

you better be VERY careful of valve to piston clearances with a head skim and a 1mm head gasket. especially with the high lift cams you are going to be running. you might be ok since you are using the 9.4:1 pistons tho but still turn it by hand first
