can't see why not....you will need a flywheel, and all the clutch parts. You also might need a custom driveshaft

oldeskewltoy: do you push the car at high revs frequently? Just curious about the oil cycling in a performance setting. I had the same oil filter-header interference you are now facing. I've used the YZZF2 for over 25,000 miles with no ill effects (I change oil/filter every 3500)

The engine has landed in L.A.. I expect it to be delivered to Portland Engine Rebuilders within the next two weeks.

The gaskets Toyota gets me have the round hole. The guys here can't seem to find the one I need. What have you been ordering? 15197-16030? That is 4AGE. 7A would be 15197-16010 Odd... client has a new Toyota Blacktop oil pump, and it came with the elongated feed hole gasket... http://ost.ebeans.ch/...

On the oil pump hole alignment. Welding and drilling is unnecessary. Aisin makes a gasket with an oval hole and a little porting in the block and pump housing is all that is necessary, just a port matching. No sense in taking a chance on warping the oil pump housing with the heat associated with we...

If you are serious.... you can "fix" the 4AGE oil pump for better alignment in use for a 7A... the cost isn't cheap. The existing hole gets welded shut, and you drill a new hole that aligns with the oil port in the block.............

Stem and guide "work" together..... the same FSM lists maximum valve/guide clearance. I'd recommend using that before you condemn the valves. Exhaust valve - 0.1mm (.0039") Intake valve - 0.08mm (.0031") If they still are too small..... the choice is yours... replacing OEM valves...
