Re: Brake line leak on hardline @ prop valve
So I went for a drive after bleeding all the brakes from furthest to closest, and made sure there were no bubbles. No leaks visible on any fitting, and all fittings nice and tight. I bedded in the brakes, but it still feels like the pedal is too hard. if I apply good leg force, she stops good, prett...

Looks good dude, you're almost there .
Just to let you know, it's been proven that silicone hoses seep coolant through small pores over time, so you'll want to keep an eye on the level more frequent than rubber hoses.

Re: Brake line leak on hardline @ prop valve
Ok, I guess I gave the shop too much credit when they did the brake bleed. Seems that nut was loose.
I'm gonna re-bleed and see how she goes, but pedal pumping doesn't seem to produce any kind of pooling so looks good!

Re: Brake line leak on hardline @ prop valve
I could see that. I'm a little weary of over-tightening hard-line nuts. But if it's anything else it'll more than likely be replaced I guess. When I installed the prop valve and new MC, almost all the lines were not kinked properly. I had references of factory routing and kinks so I know they were r...

Brake line leak on hardline @ prop valve
Hey guys, I'm not good with hydraulic lines but I have a weird leak symptom. It seems as though there is a very small but consistent leak on the upper connection for the hardline which goes into the (top of the) prop valve. It's odd though, that it's leaking (gradually pooling) where the nut and the...

Re: Help with alignment after manual rack.
Eh, T3 and their Wal-Mart esque have been annoying me lately. The site was down the whole day and I couldn't even look em up!
I ended up combing through Oreily's and found an inner and outer pair that should work. I'll post it up later.

Help with alignment after manual rack.
So I'm sure you guys know I did a manual rack swap from a AW11 MR2. I got Megan AE86 inner rods (Power Steering) https://www.ebay.com/itm/Megan-Fit-Toyota-AE86-Tie-Rods-power-steering/272021321349?epid=1556627197&hash=item3f55bbf685:g:p18AAOSwAHtaTaPR&vxp=mtr and these outer tie rods: https:...

Re: Ignition timing problem
Shop found that the fuel pipe that delivers to the fuel filter was bent.
Also that the fuel was old and brown and nasty.
I forgot it was over a year old lol. But they set the timing again. Seems like it's running alright now.

Just keep an eye on it..
For the rust proofing, I always use POR-15. No priming or sanding needed, and when it dries it's like steel! Just make sure you wear protection for skin and inhalation.

Thanks MisterJerk, On my GT-S the resistor pack isn't permanently mounted. It screws onto the bracket, and the bracket bolts to a chassis thread. I'm just not sure where lol. I have a new fuel filter with bracket I want to throw on, but I wanted to wait because I vaguely remember that the resistor p...

No problem man, I get you. I have a bunch of cars friends from PR, it's pretty amazing what people do with just ingenuity and dedication! You know you can repair your old one. Dori-Kaze has instructions, it's really easy.

Also, I might be mistaken, but AE92 starters also swap. And they have planetary gears.

Re: My differential exploded...
Why did your diff break like that in the first place? This is not a common occurrence..
They still sell third members, a new one just sold on Egay about 1 or 2 weeks ago. I think someone is still making them or they are NOS. I've seen them pop up every once in awhile.

Hey oldeskewl,
I have another odd request. Is the A/C idler tension bracket still bolted on? If not, did it come with the purchase?
I have been desperately trying to find a factory manual rack AE88/86 with the tensioner bracket in place.
