wow the MSD tach adapt was like $32 back when I bought one
and I thought they where over priced then

I ran a MSD 6al with tach adapt back around 2000 time frame
not a big deal

you probably have another problem
like your supposed to run the type of intake manifold that has provision for the TPS

never heard of spark knock

do you have any idea what your C/R is ?

how about type and octane of the fuel your using ?
do you have an AF ratio meter ?

I stuck the stock cams in but I also bought a set of TODA cams

I guess I got a little burnt out so I dont work on my cars like I used to

I use a 7mge pump out of a 92 Cressida

try 13011-16090 (I think that is the GZE ring set part number) I wrote standard, stock on the box

Go for the easy fix first

Check grounds (that means clean grounds, take the ground wire and bend them back and forth to break up any internal corrosion)
Then reattach

I ran a MSD 6 on my 85 MR2 back 2000 time frame

You also need a MSD tach adapt

There are all kinds of ways to do a conversion like yours
From modifying a NA hardness to using SC/GZE harness
