Seriously $12k (assuming USD) won't buy you much here in CA (not sure about anywhere else though).

as far as I know the interior difference is subtle but to each their own. I m sure there's example of what you had described because i had seen a couple (2 kouki 1 zenki) in person within the last 12 months and like you said they are pretty difficult to come by so to get people to even consider part...

Only in reverse ? If your car has rear disc brakes it could be that the pads are dragging on the disc and being pushed back against the carrier. Otherwise check all of the rear end suspension bushes.
