Re: aceforever's panda build log
By harness I mean connector, we called them harnesses in the car audio field. Either way I need to check them out. What specific tools did you need? I have crimpers and strippers, can't imagine needing much more than that. Great work!

Re: aceforever's panda build log
Where did you get the harnesses at and by what company? They look like top notch connectors and I need to do something like this for my door harness. Also, were they expensive?

Re: My recap and ongoing final stretch of building my Hatch
Well went to Showzone motorsports here in Charleston, SC and they're making quick work of the engine bay. They built a service door in the firewall for the distributor, they've filled almost every hole I cut in the bay, and stitch welded the seams. They also removed the battery tray. It's pretty ama...

Liking the clean mods, I remember the IS pedal giving me a bunch of crap too but it was well worth the headaches when it was all said and done! I haven't posted much since mine has been in the shop to get paint but following what you've been doing is keeping the motivation up! Keep the updates coming!

Re: A broke college kid, and his broken rolla...
Fenders and doors look awesome man. As far as flares go, I know on mine with the wheels I'm running, we are rolling the front and rear and giving the front a tiny bit of negative camber to get them fitting under the fenders i.e. -2-3 degrees. The rears we have to pull as well but shouldn't be much o...

Re: My recap and ongoing final stretch of building my Hatch
So I've been busy getting things ready to go for paint. I didn't take many pictures of the tear down but It all went well. I used a lot of painters tape and a sharpie to label all my connectors and basically all I left in the car was the two seats and the carpet. While I do love doing work myself, t...

Keep pushing. It looks bitchin. I just don't have the patience for body work so mines in the shop now for paint. Every minute counts when it comes to body work and it looks like you're doing it the right way.

Not very many updates due to saving for paint but I did get some IPF headlights mounted and 10K HIDs installed. I ordered the IPF H4 conversion housings from Cabe Toyota as well as some Innovited HIDs from the ebay. http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/640x480q90/922/CJc7bg.jpg After looking at the chil...

Re: Wiring harness repair on a 86 GT-S
Honestly, the first thing I would do anytime thecar is acting screwy ischeck and re check all the grounds. take any rust off, run new wire to different ground points (I.E. Block to chassis, etc...). Once that is done, slowly remove tape but take detailed pictures of everything. You don't want to rem...

The buyer should have NO problem paying paypal fees. No seller should ever pay them. It's like buying peace of mind on my transaction, the insurance on the rental car you don't need but when your **** is fucked up you're covered. As a buyer I go into every transaction looking for a price shipped, I ...

Re: My recap and ongoing final stretch of building my Hatch
Spent much of this week trying to get the interior back together. This meant I had to get the gauges off the floor. After throwing around a bunch of ideas; including making a panel behind the glove box, mounting them in the glove box, or even redesigning the ac panel bezel to mold the gauges in ther...

Re: My recap and ongoing final stretch of building my Hatch
Pretty big weekend for me, I got my dash back from upholstery and it looks incredible. I paid a lot to get it done but it was worth every penny to me. I new there was going to have to be seams on it and I discussed in detail with the guy where the best place would be. I also wanted a triple stitch o...

Re: My recap and ongoing final stretch of building my Hatch
These past few weeks I finished wiring up the fan relay, fixed a leak in my clutch line and then fired this pig up for a test drive. Noticed some issues some minor, some a little less minor but it does drive and stop and all that. The brakes are interesting without the booster, but I think I'll grow...

Re: Necessary Relays
Have you checked your ignition wire for 12v constant with the key in the ON position? If you have spark, have you checked for fuel? When you turn the ignition to the ON position before cranking, can you hear the fuel pump prime? I'd also look and see if your ISCV is working too!

Re: My recap and ongoing final stretch of building my Hatch
Well the compression fitting I got for 3/16" line turned out to not be for hard pipe so I had to brake out my 37 degree flaring tool and put on a tube nut and sleeve for -3 AN. It was kind of a pain working under the car but I got it. http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/640x480q90/923/K1WS4M.jpg I...
