Welcome Xmas Time! :D Looks like you've got a fun project and a solid plan :) Sounds like you know what you're doing, but since you mentioned rebuilding the carb here is the video I plan on following when I rebuild one myself: http://youtu.be/6mJHc3YjwPQ Probably not exactly the same as the AE86 car...

Re: Special Feel! Hachi Roku Slide Machine

It's too bad the T50 isn't strong enough, love the ratio Whether the T50 is "strong enough" or not really depends on how much power your engine is putting out and what you use the car for. Stock 3TC + T50 as a daily driver would probably be fine. But for drifting, probably not. If you lik...

http://i60.tinypic.com/o8gqb6.jpg For some reason I can't take my eyes off that pic :) Looks great! :D For the seats I've heard of guys using Celica / MR2 / Supra seats. Anything can be done, especially if you can modify / weld up new rails. The 3TC sounds like a good cost-effective idea. The motor...

Quick 6.7" / 7.5" Diff Ratio Question

Hey guys, So my car has a 6.38" diff in it, 3.91:1 ratio. I like the idea of the 6.7" swap due to LSD and rear disc brakes, but I don't want to have a higher rear end ratio. Is there a factory 6.7" or 7.5" LSD with a ~3.91:1 ratio available in the US? I know there's a super rare ...

The rear calipers and disks are from a Levin AE101, i believe thats only JDM model. Today I installed the KYB AGX rears with TRD 6kg springs. The local AutoX tournament starts this sunday. You are right yellowsnow, the axle housing came with drums however I swapped my disc brakes from my older setup which has ae101 solid rear brakes. Regarding the axles, what i meant is the size of the spline. I guess they are the same as the AE86 zenki since thats what my rear lsd is for. Thanks for...

Rear out. http://i.imgur.com/tDfN8cWl.jpg its from an early 81 celica with a 6.7" rear end and zenki axles. So the rear axle housing is from an early 1981 Celica? If so, I thought those didn't come with rear disc brakes... are you using an adapter? Also, when you said "zenki axles" a...

Re: Binding airmix cable, broken climate control

If you're going to stick with the stock cables you should work some WD-40 into them. Spray some WD-40 into one end then move the cable a bit. But what I found made the most difference was to lubricate the heater valve under the hood (I'd also shoot some WD-40 into the cable). At that point the airmi...
