Re: Anybody ever rebuilt their own brake booster?
Thanks Dave!! Maybe I'll just keep my old one as a core and dissect it for science. I figured that there would be a spring in there, but didn't think that it would be under that much pressure to need a vice.

Anybody ever rebuilt their own brake booster?
Just curious... I picked up a re-manufactured one and the housing that I got from Autozone isn't as good cosmetically as the leaky one on the car. Thinking about swapping out the diaphragm inside, but I have never attempted it. Has anyone done this before?

Just wanted to add that if you like a quiet ride, heim joints are not for you. I definitely started hearing a lot more noise once I installed the bar with the heim joints.

Re: Coil over reviews?
I've had my Megans in the car almost when they came out. I haven't had any issues with them (granted the car didn't move for 3 years). They can be bouncy and I have not tried any other coil over set. I did turn mine all the way up once and caught some air on the freeway when I first had them, but si...

I was out there, but my 86 was in the parking lot. lol. I was funny that the only ae86 in that row with it's hood open was the one with a Honda motor.

This site used to have all of the diagrams, but it looks like they are not available anymore. They at least have the part numbers and descriptions of different parts: http://www.toyodiy.com/parts/

How about a modern alarm system? I'm getting sick of all the sickos stealing our precious old school Toyotas  I'm running a modern alarm with a 2 way remote, starter disconnect and everything... it just takes some wiring. Unless you are looking for popping your trunk and lowering you...

You may want to look at a 1AC motor out of a 80ish Trecel for accessories. They are basically the early 3AC motors and may run a v belt. It's been years since I've seen one in person, but I know that the accessories will fit.

5x Celica Supra wheels $220
Hello all, I have a complete set of Celica Supra wheels for sale. This is 5 rims and 4 center caps (you should always run a full size spare IMO). A couple have curb rash. I pulled these from the junk yard a few years back and besides VERY periodic car washes have never been cleaned so if you like sh...

I drove it to work... But she didn't want me to work today and decided that I should stand 3 blocks from work waiting for a flat bed tow truck in the blistering heat... Guess I should take the Corolla out more often. :'(

Have someone there with you and hit the brakes. Watch to make sure that the caliper is moving and contacting the disk (without putting your fingers in there. ). Maybe the caliper isn't sliding.

I could ship one to you but freight cost might be a little expensive. I have stock aluminum gts wheels and also a full size steel spare. Shipping would be cheaper on one if the aluminum wheels since they're about 5 lb. lighter. If you're interested I can look into it. Edit: Whoops my wheels are onl...

I can feel the difference with another person in my car with a 4AC.... I can only imagine that a 4AG with 300lbs more weight would feel like. It might be worth looking into one of those little Pinto Motors... they at least have a turbo and I believe they are closer to bolt in for a mustang. I love F...
