Maybe I have missed this, but you have a big tumble cleaner that are large enough to fit engine heads? :dumb: No, one of the machine shops I use has a large "tumbler" - large enough for blocks! The tumbler is partially filled with zinc shot. They close the lid and the head is dragged repe...

Wow such a historic car, but ive never heard of TRD HD axles !!!!?? TRD used to make bigger axles?? Any specs on this?? neither had I... nor could I find any printed info. What I can say, they were indeed different. One even had what was left of a TRD tag... but of course the part number was comple...

I can ask Loynings...... The end goal is a reliable HPDE weekend / backroads "touge" racer; plenty mid-range power with a decent torque curve. And still be able to drive to work on Monday with no problems. above is why I recommend going with something a bit less challenging**.... maybe BC ...

over coming "challenges"...... Essentially this is a 2 part job - part one, build the foundational parts(rear cover), part two - make a filler panel . So, the filler panel would need to be light, and strong, and easily shaped - that would hold its shape. https://gallery.ostportworks.com/al...

So... While this is going into an N2 replica, it is being fitted with timing covers to protect the timing belt, and to keep the cam seal retainers*. This requires some fabrication, as there never was a 7AGE, so the timing covers don't readily fit. Additionally, an idler is being added to the long si...

Corrected a few errors and amended the figures to something more representative of the cams that you might end up with. Didn't really have much effect on the length calculated by the program. So I am inclined to think that the length is probably less important than making sure that the airflow path...

raising the compression in a 4AG pretty much requires $$ being spent. You will either need new pistons, or a set of adjustable timing pulleys, I'd actually recommend both. ** - One thing - there are 2 different rod/crank combinations that were in largeport 4AGEs. 1984 - mid 1987 3 rib blocks, got &q...

I have a pair of HIS 272 degree, 8.1mm lift cams I'm going to put in the engine once the car is registered and was wondering how they might behave i.e. how smooth is the idle with yours, whats the power range and what rpm do you make peak p...

The Exhaust gasket you are using here, what specific model is it, and from what company? The gasket was a collaboration between myself, and SV3* (before they closed). Essentially it is a Blacktop gasket(35mm port exit), that fits both 16V and 20V heads. It also has slightly "adjusted"(.02...

I'll have to remember these mods for the 7A-GE I want to build.
