Re: To anyone selling anything
I have always felt the buying/selling thing is first come first serve, I don't think many of us have the time to risk someone telling you to hold onto an item and then having the transaction fall through. Don't get me wrong, of course I would want to help out a fellow rolla owner, but if I needs the...

Re: To do or not to do hood vent...
Drop vents look more subtle. Is that a custom RCA lower ball joint? The RCA's are custom made by Barry at MRP in NZ, he makes some good stuff for the ae92. I had him custom make mine to extend my control arm 25mm more so I could do do some stuff to tweak my steering geometry. Today I spent a couple...

To do or not to do hood vent...
So as for these types of hood scoops I've always liked the styling of them. I've also always wanted to put one on my car, but reading different things about how the fiberglass ones crack its always held me back on doing it. Lately I made a splitter for the car and am actually leaning towards somethi...

Re: ae86 or ae92
Dude, get yourself a MK3 supra, there are a bunch of those for 3K,and it's still a Toyota, plus it's rwd 8-) If your going to get a car in that weight class you minus will get an sc300, way better suspension design and looks better imo. If you want a faster car get an mr2, I've owned 2 and they are...

its funny i own a ae92 and im giving you this advice, but i say don't bother. i love my ae92, but as everyone here has stated, what plagues these cars are parts replacement problems. you really cannot get anymore weather stripping or any type of weather protective (taillight gasket) things for the a...

You didn't know? Takumi has since moved to the states and resides in CA, he has since bought a red coupe after moving here a year ago since the writer of his manga decided he was gonna take a hiatus. He now delivers Pizza instead of TOFU..... http://img4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20130825220525/mlp/ima...

Re: Where is the love for the AE86.
I guess I don't mind knock off wheels, it has the potential to get damaged so there is no point in me spending good money for some wheels. I can spend it somewhere else, brake fluid, brake pads, rotors, engine oil, tires, fuel, event fee's and all other wear and tear items that need to be replaced r...

Re: A few questions for aw11 guys.
i personally would skip the 4age and go to a 3rd gen 3sgte, it would take less work to get there. aside from fitting the engine in the engine bay the boost can be turned up with supporting mods and get you pretty close to your goal. im not sure how your budget is but if you can cram a 2gr v6 in ther...

looks good, awesome to see an I6 na tune. i've always wanted to do an I6 na with something from toyota, but sadly the cars the came with them are to heavy. maybe if i could ever find a way to get a mk3 supra into the 2300lb range.

so far from this thread you can see that there is already a verity of way people tune their cars with their income. some save and chip at it, some put it on the card and pay for it later than others with the money pay for it up front. having saved and built my car myself from scratch i guess i can h...

Re: Quick disconnect for coolant hoses?! Would it work?
i think i would worry more about a leak then flow. its a troubling thought that comes to you when you see a cloud of coolant mist everywhere behind you at the track. and thats if you notice, most the times you only will notice after your temp gauge plunges into the red or your car stops running.

Moral of the story? Stay in school. You know those little kids that used to get picked on a lot as little kids? Those kids are the ones people work for later in life. And they usually turn out okay when they get older. I did. I'm 5'10 200 lbs now, and I don't have the gut most jocks back in school ...

id say s2k seats, besides seats are seats just like wheels are wheels. the aw11 or fx16 would cost money and then more money to make them up to date. i love both the aw11 and fx16, but i would choose the aw11 over the fx too. however i know the fx has good potential and in the hands of a good tuner ...

the st18X chassis is pretty heavy for the 20v. it might even be slower than the gt with the 5sfe. i would save the money for something else, maybe look for another all-trac if you really want one. the thing is these cars are old now and getting replacement parts for them is at the point where 1 or 2...

with no motor i'd pay $1,000-1,500 tops for it if its in the shape you say, otherwise $600-700. this is just me some people may pay more or less. the worth of the chassis is to the person deciding on the project i guess.
