Re: AE86 Transmission rebuild
$3300 is a bit expensive for me  thanks for the offer though. I honestly just need to fix my 2nd gear synchro, nothing too fancy. I would like to try replacing the synchro DIY but, as you know, transmission work isn't cake. Most shops charge like $1000 for transmission work :? My next best opti...

What's good about the 7age?
I'm looking at engine swaps/builds and this came up. It seems like a neat option because 7afe engines should be pretty easy to source and cheap(no one really bats an eye at a '95 corolla dx/le anyways). Why do people do this swap and what's so great about it?

Is this a postal Subaru? They sold Subarus for postal service so the driver sat on the right, so it's basically a JDM chassis, I think...

Re: i need coilover advice
Another alternative is to get swift springs (or whatever springs you crave) and pair it up with adjustable shocks. The springs won't get you to #stancenation low but it will give you enough low to pass the shoe test (see Mighty Car Mods if you don't know about it). That way, you don't risk it on che...

WTB: T50 transmission and battery terminal fuse and cables
As stated in the description, I need a battery terminal fuse and battery cables, the cables and fuse are fried. I'm also looking for a AE86 T50 transmission or 2nd gear synchros but I'd prefer a whole transmission (I'm not a mechanic, transmission repairs are best left to the pros in my case).

Thanks! So with both kits do they PROVIDE you with strut casings or do you have to use the ones you already own? The way you worded your explanation implies the former.

T3 handling kits
Hey guys,
I'm looking at T3 budget handling kits and there are two options for the budget handling kits, one is the weld-on kit and the other is bolt-on. I already am familiar with weld-on kits, but what about bolt-on kits? What is the difference?

Re: Turbo vs NA
Turbo sounds awesome, but I think supercharging is also a viable option. It's much cheaper and easier to do and has much less lag, although it doesn't give as much power as the turbo.

Re: What's a good performance coilover setup?
I believe the car came with TRD springs and tokico gas shocks, but the car feels a bit floaty, which is definitely not a good thing. I'm looking for something stiffer but still compliant enough to max out performance on the street (again, not a street racer).I've been thinking about just getting som...

What's a good performance coilover setup?
Hey guys, I was wondering what coilovers are practical for street performance situations (not street racing , just canyon carving and fun stuff within the legal limit) and some track use. I've been considering BC and Stance SS andf I've been looking into different spring setups as well.
