Yes they fit in the rods but not the crank there 5.01 mm to big , thanks for replying ?? 4AG rod journals are either 40mm, or 42mm... Not sure where the 5.01mm comes from?? A brief lesson... if original, the 3 rib engines almost always came with the 40mm rod journal crank - the crank on top in phot...

Re: Help with dream 20v NA street build $7k budget?

Why 10k? Even most of the real racing 4AGEs are only touching 10 grand these days.... they don't have to spin them to 14k to make power anymore....... If you want an engine to survive @ 10,000 rpm you will need a few things for sure... TRD crank... yes an OEM crank might get to 10,000, but for susta...

what is your thinking with the valve lash being so tight? you know, growing up and working on street cars in shops "a loose valve is a happy valve" was the standard (within spec of course). is this for better high-rev predictability? The specification: Intake .15mm - .25mm(.006" - .0...

Re: I am entirely new to imports need advice.

You could go with a 7AGE, a local shop successfully makes 7AGEs plants 250hp(200-210whp) and 170#/ft of torque, all under 10,000 rpm. Cost isn't cheap.... You can build a decent 7AGE that will make 160 whp for around $6000 Yowch, sounds a bit pricey. For that kind of money I'd rather do a f20 swap ...

Re: OST-022: New Numbers.....

Clean job!!! One question, in this case with all this maching going on what are the changes relating to piston-valve, valve timing etc.(I know about the tensioner but in the 4AG)? Drastic or only mild re-adjustment? .010" is still .010". I've recommended that the owner acquire adjustable ...
