Re: "Kentucky AE86: A Levin Story"

Changed the oil and trans fluid this past weekend. Started storming pretty bad once I got the shifter back installed so I had to wait on the diff. I ended up taking it to my work last night to get it on a lift and changed the diff fluid. All the fluids were clean, and so was underneath the car!! The...

God I hope Toyota does this with the AE86 and other chassis Dude ... I know. I bet Skyline owners are super pumped, especially R32 owners here in the US. I would imagine its super hard/inconvenient to find parts since obviously the R32 was never sold here. At least with the AE86, you can find parts...

Thats interesting. That 1.8l sc engine migth be a good swap for our cars. My wife designs body parts for Honda, Toyota, Nissan, etc.. and they will come out with the new supra soon. I have seen some of the models and the FT-1 is definitely the new supra. Have you seen the Toyota 860 special edition...

NISMO recently announced that its starting a program to recreate discontinued parts for specific Nissan cars, first being the R32 GTR. I have a 1987 SR5 and it was originally an automatic but the people before me converted it to a manual. I was wondering if the sr5 automatic rear end is strong enough to handle the power of the 4age. Thank you Drifting, clutch kicks, welded diff, burnouts, etc. will easily roast an sr5 rear, even a...

So ... the dealership didn't have the right fluids (I should have known they wouldn't have them since I work there), and my Guard duty took up all my time over the weekend so I didn't get time to work on the car really. Ironically, I believe the dude who is selling this tried trading me the motor for my old RHD FC RX7.

So glad I didn't follow through with it. Had I seen this thread before then, I would have never even considered the trade.

It's a sign of the times... trashing cars. In all kinds of motor sport the vehicle has pretty much become a disposable item in a "win at all costs" competitive environment. Drivers have to go all out at 11 tenths if they want to finish on the podium. Doesn't matter if it is a drift car, c...
