there are several grounds on the GZE I can think of one on the intake, another on the removable panel near the coil



Also remember you have to push the clutch in when you try to start it
And you should get a slight tach bounce

Cranking the engine means its turning over 12v resides on one side of the injector and the ecu applies a signal low/ground to the other side and that's what fires the injector Inside the ecu they use two transistors to switch the low/ground to the injector Recheck check Check grounds then retest David

Go for the easy fix first
Check for good grounds

I don't have an AE86 but it sounds like your clutch inter lock switch is either faulty or wired backwards

so in other words you can start your car without touching the clutch pedal but as soon as you push in the clutch the car dies ??

So in other words the L-jet fi will have a temp sensor for fi and a different one just for the water temp gauge
