Blacktop swap into MR2 or AE86
ok I been searching the net since 9pm its 2:40am now
wondering when you guys did your 20V swap did you incorporate the test connector?
is the test connector fully functional?
does you check engine light work?
and lastly did you hook up the speed sensor?

Re: Is 20V motor interference or non-Interference
You definitely should change the pistons, while the 5AGE only has 4 cutouts (from my memory) and the 20V has 5 cutouts in the pistons. What block do people use on a 5age? on AE101 block with 16v heads, normal silvertop pistons are fine. Its a long story but I bought a 101GZE that turned out to be b...

Re: 16v or 20v?
the only way to get power out of a small 1.6 motor is to rev it so I think you will be disappointed in the performance (for a daily driver)
maybe a Beams 3sg would be and idea

Is 20V motor interference or non-Interference something I have been wondering about for some time?
I have a 5AGZE and it would be neat if I could slap a 20V head on it that is if I did not have to change pistons
Any thoughts could it be done

I don't think so get some GZ pistons you would be set (oh GZ pistons are the stock super charged pistons)
Take the short block to the machine shop explain to him what you want give him the piston pn's so he can order them for you

First get a book for your car If you’re going to go that deep you might as well rebuild the motor I would just pull the pan make sure there is no metal in the pan Make sure it rotates freely check the thrust bearing play if that is all good I would call it good Any more then this you might as well r...

Also you can try blocking off a part of the throttle bodies
This is to try and increase intake port velocity
Do you have the stock intake trumpets in place?
