my alternator is going out so i can drive it during the day time with no lights and have no problem and at night i can go for about 2 hours till it dies ive tried to find a replacement one for it with little luck so i ordered new brushes so i can have it rebuilt. then today i was at pep boys and they said they could get me one but it didnt say if it was for a n/a or sc so my question is will the n/a one work on my sc car?

The supercharger engine uses a different alternator due to it being relocated on the opposite side of the engine, the part number from pepboys for the supercharged engine is 14453 and it will be a special order part if they can still get a hold on one. Hope this helps.

Well I just called them they said they can get it but its 398$ or something like that so I already ordered a rebuild kit so I'm going to do that but I'm not 100% sure its my alt we hooked a multi meter and I was showing 12.4 volts but I do have the 3 warning lights on right now

With the engine running you should be pulling around 14.3-14.5 volts. 12 is low

I've actually got a very good condition used one if you still need a replacement. It has less than 15k miles use, and came off a restored SC of mine that got hit.
It was a new Denso model.
