Hi, I own a AE92 89 Corolla GTS, completely stock. The problem with my car is if you floor the gas pedal, it accelerates lazy, like if the engine were flooded; if you let of the gas like half way, it accelerates better, but only around 10 MPH per gear, by 5th gear it tops out at 60-65 MPH. Then, I had the engine repaired (thanks to a hurricane flooding every street, water got into the engine ), but the guy who repaired it says it still has the same problem and that it might be the AFM, but he didn't want to fix it. I don't know what it is, and if its the flow meter, it's around the $600-$800 mark, so I just wanna be sure that the problem is just that before I have to waste that kind of money. What you guys think???

check the TPS make sure it is adjusted correctly

Anything else? Cause I bought a new one before the engine got flooded, but maybe the water screwed it up. I'll check it anyway, any help is appreciated...
