Westar Motor Mount, Missing Guide Dimple

Postby genki86x » Tue Apr 14, 2015 4:00 pm

Hey everyone,

I recently ordered a mess of parts from Rockauto and the motor mounts made by Westar P/N EM-8210 seem to be correct, but they are missing the little guide dimple. It showed it on the picture before ordering. Do you need this dimple on the motor mount? Anyone using these on their ride?

I should clarify, this is for a RWD AE86 with a 4AGE motor. Im starting to think it won't matter with all that weight on it. Just wanted to know if anyone else has seen this or had any issues.

That little round pin is most likely there to help align the plate and
stop it from rotating when you tighten the nut on the stud. It would
be nice to have it there, but so long as you make sure the plate stays
square with the mount you should be OK. The stud will do the job.

That's what I figured. Thanks for the advise. Should be dropping the motor in soon.
