Relay Click noise
soo, recently while driving , I started to notice that there is a Relay Clicking Noise coming from under the dash on the passenger side. It only clicks when i rev from the low RPMs while driving ( 600 ~ 1200 ). What does this Relay control ? Is it bad to drive it like this ? do I need to replace it ?
Re: Relay Click noise
a clicking relay is most likely a bad ground or a loose connection. with out knowing exactly which relay it is you can only get vauge answers. try to locate it and figure out what relay it is. just an fyi 600 to 1200 is idle speed.

I'm in the same boat as u, haven't had time to properly diagnose it yet but I know what ur talking bout. It's like a high frequency buzz... I thought it might've been from my MSD box but nope.

after looking at the FSM , I've pinpointed the relay to be the (Circuit Opening Relay). I found out after two weeks of not driving last month, my battery was dead and I would've needed to start it up with a jump or a push start and once turned off would need another jump or push start. funny thing is my charge light never came on or nothing indicating that the battery is dead or the alt is not charging. My car does idle close to 1200 but once I switch on my lights it dies down to about 600 rpm idle. even with a new donor battery, giving it quick revs from 600 rpm will stumble and spike up causing the relay to click.
